i totally agree. when i first came here around 8 years ago, i hardly ever saw a fat Thai. Now they are the norm. We all know why........fast food, lazy, mobile phones, etc, etc. I just look past the fatties and concentrate on the ever decreasing bevvie of beauties here in SE Asia. My gf is under strict instructions........if you get fat.......your gone. ha ha

in this case, they should not have returned any of your money. you paid a deposit to reserve the property, therefore taking it off the market. this prevented the owner from doing any other viewings and possibly losing a potential tenant. i would not have returned your money.

you have absolutely nothing to worry about. just dont tell the bank you live in Thailand. They will have no reason to check if you are at the UK address or not

rubbish. its very simple. ive been doing it for over 16 years, never a problem. If the person still has a credit card, get that registered at a friends address also. Also, I am a former UK bank manager, so i kind of know what im talking about
