Best give old shifty and the rest of his begging buddies a wide berth and watch your back as you do. My GUESS is if you and your mate were sober, not flashing a lot of Baht, you would be a very long shot as a robbery Target.

Jumbo and Safeway Supermarket may favorite places to buy Famous Amos Cookies. Bet you want find any in Thailand, so please let us know.
-
No not now, maybe in future, say 3 or four years. Give things time to CHILL OUT in Thailand. Maybe after a few New Governments have had there stay in power, Mr Thaksin(IE< the Big Boss) might just be welcome back with open arms.

A copy of the passport with the visa page has work fine for me; in addition to having two other form of ID.(a Thai driving license(car/motorcycle)). Both of which have the passport number.

I Wonder??

Not withdrawn soon enough. Much to much sex and violet on the Internet/video game. I know there is an enforcement in my area of the closeing time/go home time for the internet cafe for those under 18 years of age, but it was of no use in this case. Mom and Dad, where are you?

Norway, the place I would go. Near home for me.

Yes, it is necessary for Bars if you wish to keep values, such as gold, Rolex watches, etc in your resident. I don't want can't afford a lot of expensive things, which on entice the thief. Beside I decided to live in the land of Smile in peace and freedom not in a prison behind bars. Oh! well if you need them get them. To each his Own

You gotta be kidding, no way. Some Brits it would be ok, some it would be an outrage. I would see some real anger and someone be shot or kill. Sorry in Thailand ok UK no way.
-
My guess they were making a movie.
-
Who know; I don't. Don't really care either. I say to each his or her own. Maybe they were like Mikey, they tried and they like it.

I would say fairly safe my 34 years (15 in resident here) of eat with street vendor never had a problem. One can get a bird eye view of the cleaness practice of the vendor on the street. Got some bad food once at a local eatery(cafe). I now give most resturants that I don't know a wide wide berth unless recommended by a trusted Thai friend that eat there/knows the place.

May I suggest or should I say encourage you to seek out Sun belt or whoever can assist you to get a legal Work Permit, grant you Bt50,000 is a decent income for weekends and evening however with the HEAVY fines impose by the new law, Bt 50,000 would be peanuts if you are caught without a work permit. I am guessing you have family here, and wish to remain as long as possible; so if nothing else my friend get things legal for their sake.

I would like to get an idea what sorts of gym facilities Bangkok expats are joining.
What are the facilities like and are you satisfied with what you get for your membership?
I would like to hear not only from centrally located expats, but especially those in outer Bangkok.
Your feedback is appreciated!

Why, waste your time and MONEY, just go for a brisk walk/jog around the nearby Park; it's for sure better for your health, for don't have to worry about all those sweat germs/bacteira(ecoli)floating around the gym. Just a Thought.(MY)

No not really to most people. Just treat them all as Harmful and keep your area(yard/garden etc) clutter free. Don't fear the BIGSNAKES, you can see them and give a wide wide berth, it's those little ones that can be so deadly.

Yes, I do always, This is Thailand(TIT), it's a Thais custom and I for sure don't want to offend my host country; beside it is a good way not to track dirt and other thing all over your Home. After fifteen plus years in LOS it has become second nature to me. Almost remove my shoes once when entering a beautiful home like Gold Shop; the owner insisted, no need to do so.

Yep, part of his Farewell tour of Asia; wrap things up with his visit to China. I for one will be happy to to see his move on; so we can see some improvement in the U.S. status around the world(a strong dollar would be great for starter). Anyway goodbye George, hello John or Barack
to you all.

What a bullshit story..
Nobody was on board, everone was diving. And passengers floating in the water???
Everyone was on the Island.
Whatever; just happy to here that no one was hurt or kill, which so often the case in these types of accidents.
Why Do Thai People Always Talk About Money?
in General Topics
Posted
I guess we all wish for what we don't have and wish we did, having said that; talking about money is not just a Thai thing during my 40 plus years of travel to many countries(with a few long stays here and there) I have found people in general talk about wealth, whether it be GNP , Enco or personal money is a mover of things and people. Enough said!!![:o](//forum.thaivisa.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
