  1. Hey wait! I thought it was the marijuana. Thing is 1 in 5 will suffer from some sort of mental health issues.
  2. I'm not talking about Thaksin here more to the point of "importing information into a computer system that could defame, insult, or show malice towards the Thai royal family." I'm gussing importing in this sense mean downloading. This is very concerning and stinks of an autocratic system and a freedom of interpretation when prosecuting under the weaponised Section 112.
  3. And Thaksin says he had nothing to do with it. "I'm just an old man." Anyone who believes this is deluded. It was a set up through and through.
  4. Have you seen some of those steroid using muay thai people?
  5. The whole thing is a complete chirade. A sentate should be voted for by the poeople in an election not some dodgy self selection process. p.s. might be a while before we see any section 112 articles here again or they'll be comments closed. Seems that's now off limits.
  6. Sadly this is a reality. The spoilt little darlings at many schools can have this power. Mummy and daddy pay lots of money so the school doesn't want any trouble and if some of the spoilt little darlings don't like the teacher they're out the door. Nothing to do with the competency of the teacher in these cases it's the money.
  7. Vaping at school? Should not be allowed and I would like to see evidence that it's happening? Vaping at uni or college ok. Dealing with adults and freedom of choice but at schools? Something tells me this just doesn't occur. After school maybe but not at school. I stand to be corrected but this article seems a little off to me and is more about strengthening the negative narrative against vaping. As for hazardous chemicals in vapes are these worse than the thousands of chemicals, many carcinogenic, found in cigs?
  8. I'm suprised comments aren't closed for this one. Simultaneously, according to the group Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, 272 individuals have been charged under the lèse-majesté law in 303 cases between November 24, 2020 and May 10 this year. The weaponisation of Section 112 in practice.
  9. Arrhythmia is a serious condition that can lead to cardiac arrest. Early retirement perhaps?
  10. CBD coffee in the morning before work and I nice joint and a beer or three after work. I could go with that. Sounds very civilized to me.
  11. I doubt very, very much that the MFP would form a coalition with the traitorous PTP.
  12. Probably got some of these GT200 bomb detectors still. Should've handed them off at the same time.
  13. Not too difficult to find an actual pic of the redline rather than going for an AI chosen image of "Thai trains".
  14. Thakin is the awkward yet necessary bedfellow.....for now.
  15. Allow to add one more very crucial item to this list "legal ambiguity and interpretation [and corruption]."
  16. Thing is the "owned CC" as you put it is not owned by Thaksin. It's part of the Junta's legal apparatus as is the EC.
  17. You would think that they could actually use an image of Thai baht NOT the US dollar. As for the loan sharks I'll bet that those at the top are very well connected.
  18. I'm a qualified teacher that teaches in a Thai school. I think my knowledge of teachers attitutes to school closures are somewhat more informed than yours.
  19. Your negative opinions of teachers are just that. Yours. Teachers are educators and want to teach. They also know what damage was done due to the closure of schools.
  20. I don't need to tell myself that. Thai teachers tell me that. Yep fear was definitetly part of the narrative and still is but teachers had nothing to do with previous school closures. School closures comes from the provincial govenors.
  21. No. The last thing teachers want is school closures.
  22. I think I said back then they were thinking about. Tomorrow there is a meeting going to happen. Again this comes from someone high up in a provincial government. I truly hope sanity prevails.
  23. Was always going to be. The people voted for change last election an were denied by the Junta's apparatus. Now the gap has widened and even more people want change as a consequence. PTP are finished and the army must be planning a move sometime in the future.
  24. Indeed I could have but really, does it matter that much? My point was the appointment was a set up, as I posted in a previous thread, and his non-involvement in politics is an out and out lie. I guess I could have also written a 100% of those other than the blind faithful but it doesn't matter. Not a big deal.
