  1. I doubt very, very much that the MFP would form a coalition with the traitorous PTP.
  2. Probably got some of these GT200 bomb detectors still. Should've handed them off at the same time.
  3. Not too difficult to find an actual pic of the redline rather than going for an AI chosen image of "Thai trains".
  4. Thakin is the awkward yet necessary bedfellow.....for now.
  5. Allow to add one more very crucial item to this list "legal ambiguity and interpretation [and corruption]."
  6. Thing is the "owned CC" as you put it is not owned by Thaksin. It's part of the Junta's legal apparatus as is the EC.
  7. You would think that they could actually use an image of Thai baht NOT the US dollar. As for the loan sharks I'll bet that those at the top are very well connected.
  8. I'm a qualified teacher that teaches in a Thai school. I think my knowledge of teachers attitutes to school closures are somewhat more informed than yours.
  9. Your negative opinions of teachers are just that. Yours. Teachers are educators and want to teach. They also know what damage was done due to the closure of schools.
  10. I don't need to tell myself that. Thai teachers tell me that. Yep fear was definitetly part of the narrative and still is but teachers had nothing to do with previous school closures. School closures comes from the provincial govenors.
  11. No. The last thing teachers want is school closures.
  12. I think I said back then they were thinking about. Tomorrow there is a meeting going to happen. Again this comes from someone high up in a provincial government. I truly hope sanity prevails.
  13. Was always going to be. The people voted for change last election an were denied by the Junta's apparatus. Now the gap has widened and even more people want change as a consequence. PTP are finished and the army must be planning a move sometime in the future.
  14. Indeed I could have but really, does it matter that much? My point was the appointment was a set up, as I posted in a previous thread, and his non-involvement in politics is an out and out lie. I guess I could have also written a 100% of those other than the blind faithful but it doesn't matter. Not a big deal.
  15. Even the blind faithful will know this is BS in their hearts they just won't say it but ok not 100% as such. No need to be picky or nasty though as I'm sure the gist of my post is understood.
  16. I've been told that the BMA are having a big meeting tomorrow, May 28, to discuss the possible closure of schools. I truly hope this madness does not occur.
  17. This is exactly what is was. This is just a an absolute filthy lie that 100% of Thais will find both completely disingenous and laughable.
  18. I'm sad that some dope smokers act this way. When I smoke a cig in public I'm very conscious of not annoying others. Dope smokers should be the same. Sadly society now is all about ME. As for asthma dope is very good for that. On the other hand having a place selling food next to people smoking dope might very well be a bit of a bonus. It's true dope does give you the munchies.
  19. Possibly the most destructive and addictive drug of the 21st Century.
  20. Sorry but this means nothing. Yes, people have problems and yes heavy dope use may not help those people who may or may not have a variety of social and mental issues but basically what you've posted is just anecdotal evidence. There are millions of people you smoke dope that don't have problems just like there are millions of people who consume alcohol who don't have problems. Maybe 10's or 100's of millions who don't have a problem with either drug. Perspective is what's needed and this certainly doesn't seem to be the case.
  21. Well you posted the cons but oddly failed to post the postives so here they are from the same article. Positive Effects Since ancient times, marijuana has been taken for its medicinal and euphoric effects. We know that it has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, which can help with pain relief. Its other medical uses include reducing nausea for cancer patients on chemotherapy and possible relief for those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), multiple sclerosis (MS), glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, and some forms of epilepsy. There is even some early research by neuroscientist Gary Wenk suggesting that marijuana could help prevent memory loss in aging by reducing inflammation in the brain. Some of my psychiatric patients used it to treat their insomnia, anxiety, and depression with varying success; in some, it actually exacerbated their condition. Additionally, marijuana has been known to “expand consciousness,” leading to an enhanced appreciation of the simple pleasures in life (listening to music, enjoying good food, and being out in nature). Marijuana use has increased by 75 percent in the over-65 population in just the last three years. Many of these people had used pot in the 60s or 70s and are now seeking help with chronic medical conditions and the anxiety that comes along with aging. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/collaborative-care-and-psychiatry/202112/marijuanas-mental-health-pros-and-cons
  22. Yeh. I cleared the cache, logged out and in again and it was back up. Cheers.
  23. Obviously completely off topic but I wonder if anyone has any ideas. I'm only on this page through view all notifications button. I haven't been able to access the forum since yesterday. I sent a message yesterday. This is what I'm seeing. Again oviously I can still post and react but only on this page.
  24. I can't agree with this. It's Thaksin not the CCP.
  25. Your right. There is too much money involved and those who were making it before when it was illegal now want it back.
