  1. You get me wrong. I am an educator and I definitely see these things as vital. I also see the health of the students, teachers and their families as vital. Which one would you choose over the other? The UK can do things because of vaccinations but it will be interesting to see what happens in schools as students by the most part are not vaccinated. Clusters in Queensland right now coming from schools. The Thai government should have placed value on vaccinations, true mass testing and effective hard lockdowns long ago. If this was done then maybe schools could have openned for the beginning of nxt term. This is not going to happen.
  2. It still amazes me that some think schools should remain open. It's like they've never heard of the Delta variant or Sars-cov-2 at all. Still my guess is it's these people who said at the beginning never mind, it's just the flu.
  3. Can only agree. There is no and has never been real mass testing here. As for contact tracing well good luck with that. It's (delta) completely out of control and the idiots who were more focused on a particular Chinese vaccine, a stupid sandbox and saving face along with a good bit of pocket filling have made it so. This month 400,000 -500,000 infections and these are the walkins and reactive cluster testing. Contact tracing now means very little indeed. As for mass testing what happened to the 'army' of testers who were going out to proactively test the districts of BKK. This was announced a few wks ago. Haven't heard anything since. Just more hyperbole from empty headed fools that gives out more fake news than anyone else could. If there is anyone on this forum that believes anything these idiots say you should be ashamed of yourself.
  4. Please show us where it says this. How do you explain people being released going from 9,000 to 18,000 in one week. It has until the other day been the case that recoveries were running at a bit below 50% of admissions now it's around 90%. This happened pretty well overnight. Something has to account for this. As I say released from medical care and recovered are 2 different things. I would be most grateful if yourself or anyone else can point to where there are two seperate categories. One for recovered and one for green patients released from medical care into either home or community isolation. Cheers.
  5. Assumes most on here are pensioners and that if you are you have no clue. Brilliant.
  6. People are being released from hospital into home isolation or community isolation. Asymtomatic or mildly symptomatic the so-called green patients. We know this to be fact. If they are recovered why would they have to isolate?
  7. As I previously posted I believe these are not recovered but released from hostital care i.e. home isolation or community isolation. They are not recovered.
  8. Most interesting especially when taken in conjuction with the massive increase in those released. I have also noticed a change in language (I think). It use to be "recovered" but now it's "released from medical care".
  9. I remember not all that long ago in the scheme of things some on here saying numbers have satalalized at or around 2,000. Then it was 3,000. At the time there were also us 'doomsayers' warning about such optimism. Don't hear from anyone that numbers have stabalized any more. The spread will continue sadly. Some may argue against this and that's up to you but without active not reactive mass testing and 70-80% of adults being vaccinated the spread will continue. Children are now also a point of concern when it comes to transmission. So far for this wk there have been 77,991 new infections and 673 deaths.
  10. When you say never shut I am talking about the big lockdown last year.
  11. Did the BBC just report what the CCP has said? Fairly sure the BBC reported covid was not human to human transmissable back at the beginning as the CCP said.
  12. In a word, lower. The biggest and scariest thing is what the numbers would be if they got their finger out and actually mass tested.
  13. Complete rubbish. I'm always open to and supportive of rational argument. Not so much the opposite. As has been pointed out by many, yes there are countries worse off in the death rate, although not many when it comes to the Delta wave and I did point this out. The fact remains that these countries are becoming less as this travesty here marches on and Thailand's global standing becomes worse.
  14. Sure. Per capita. Doesn't really matter which way you look at it Thailand is in a very bad spot. Very few deaths though comparatively.
  15. Could you go to the dentists? No. Could you go to the hairdresser? No. Ahhhhh! Alcohol. No. There's a few differences. Anyone is free to add to the list. It was stricter last time and brought in faster after the boxing fiasto but still not a hard lockdown. Now the variant is so much stonger the psuedo lockdown isn't as harsh and the spread continues.
  16. Chicken fetus. I'll eat plenty of things but this aint one of them.
  17. LOL. They (CCP) said this before. Salmon from Norway? Can't remember. Before or after it was American troops? Cant remember. The CCP has to be the most juvinile bunch of you know whats on the planet. Worse than Mr. Empty Head but easy to see where it comes from.
  18. Tomatoes are a fruit. They come from a vine not a tree. Fish also come from rivers not just the sea. Camel's milk is very good for you and goats milk makes great cheese. Oh, and chicken's come from eggs.
  19. I did that in a later post today. We are all well aware what is happening now and has happened in the very recent past. My point basically was after all the big noting from last yr and Mr. Empty Head saying look at other countries here we are. Last year including right now Thailand is looking very bad globally. Right now as in the last month Thailand is looking disaterous.
  20. Sure I agree but as I was saying that's from the very beginning. Comparing yesterday's new infection numbers to Thailand's today there are only 8 countries globally worse than Thailand and deaths with the same comparison Thailand is 15th.
  21. Sadly, it would seem that my prediction on Monday that for the first time we will see >100,000 infections and >1000 deaths in a wk is going to happen. Absolutely tragic numbers. Tomorrow Thailand moves into 40th position on the Covid charts. Mr Empty Head says people should look at other countries to see that Thailand isn’t doing that bad. Well looking at other countries and this is from the very beginning there are as of tomorrow only 39 in the entire world worse than Thailand.
  22. July 23 Issan was 2,007. Close to doubled in a wk and a bit.
  23. Some of us were on here from the beginnig. You don't need to believe me and I really don't care but I I'm talking about us "doomsayers" on here who just happened as it turned out to be right.
  24. Well yes I did state the obvious but as the graph shows from @TallGuyJohninBKKit seems that asymptomatic and presymptomatic are in the same categorory. I have seen this lugged together (which is a misuse) since the beginning. If you can show me something that differentiates between asymptomatic and presymtomatic as a % of identified cases I would be most grateful. It would also have to relate to delta as this beast if different. Thanks.
