  1. “I am confident that, in two years, Thailand will house a large-scale battery cell factory. This will mark another significant milestone, further strengthening the supply chain and establishing a solid foundation for the long-term growth of the electric vehicle industry in Thailand.” Trying to bolster a waning EV market in China. Hydrogen or new tech batteries such as sodium, sulphur and solid state for example are the future not lithium ion. In two years lithium ion batteries will be on the way out. As I said the Chinese EV market is not healthy. Not sure if this is the right horse to back. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/boom-in-china-s-ev-market-slows-as-economy-weighs-on-sentiment-1.2019532
  2. It's a Chat GPT article which should be self evident as it's come from The Thaiger.
  3. The actual numbers of fatalaties is also a falicy. Some say it's only those who die at the scene are counted but a senior doctor at a major hospital told me it's within a 24 hr period. Either way many will succumb to their injuries after the fact. As for traffic going slow I'm not sure I totally agree with you on this. Yes traffic is slow but idiots will try to get through faster.
  4. The so called 7 deadly days are usually less deadly than every other day of the year so your comment is way off the mark.
  5. It would seem from negative emojis to my above post (quoted) that some people cannot recognise that I'm pulling the piss.
  6. Can't see a problem with non-elected governors. Let's face it a non-elected senate has worked fine (not for democracy of course). Indeed in a country where the government itself is non-elected it seems to me that non-elected governors would be the norm.
  7. No. Sorry but I think you should do some research. Average from these four days is around 40 whereas the daily average over a yearly period is around 60. Of course these fatalities are only those that die at the scene or within a 24 hr period so actual numbers will be much higher.
  8. Pic and article is AI. The Thaiger Chat GPT couldn't even manage a muay thai pic. This is meant to be a news article not some fluffed up piece of prose. Of course this is what Chat GPT does.
  9. Severe weather alert for 36 Thai provinces amid heatwave This is a headline not a quote from the TMD. Nowhere in the article does it mention a heatwave. NOTE: April 6, 2023 Thai health officials have issued a heatwave alert as temperatures rise across many parts of the country, with the Bangkok district of Bang Na expected to hit 50°C today. "According to a Bangkok Post report, Dr Opas Karnkawinpong from the Public Health Ministry says the extreme heat could pose a particular risk to children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions. He adds that people who work outdoors are at increased risk of dehydration due to excessive perspiration and heat exhaustion. April is known for being the hottest month of the year and The Thai Meteorological Department says many parts of the country can expect to see temperatures above 40°C today. The mercury is expected to rise to 40.6°C in Phetchabun, 41.5°C in Si Sa Ket, 49.4°C in the Laem Chabang area of Chon Buri, and 47.9 °C in Phuket." This was last year. Even then it wasn't a heatwave as these temps did not go for an extended period which is part of what defines a heatwave.
  10. Same as last year? Year before? I'm not saying it isn't hot. It is. That's why it's called the hot season also known as the dry season because it doesn't rain much. Occasional hot season storm is about it. Again it's not a heatwave. It's average hot season temps. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just hot. Mid to high 30's - low 40's. Standard April temps. If it's low 40's to mid to high 40's then, yes, heatwave may apply if it's an extended period.
  11. A heatwave is a prolonged period of abnormally hot weather. It's not abnormally hot. It's April. It's hot. It's the hot season. It's not a heatwave.
  12. Again I say it is not a heatwave it's just average April temps ranging from mid 30°C-low 40°C with overnight temps in the high 20°C. As for storms they forecast this at least once a week with very little to nil accuracy.
  13. The headline is quite simply BS. At best pm2.5 shows moderate over Thailand..
  14. I don't think extra sales can be directly linked to extra road deaths. That's not to say that some correlation can be made but eveyday sees road deaths from various factors such as attitude, speeding, drunk driving, no helmets, no seatbelts and lack of attention being some of the main factors.
  15. More alcohol likely to be sold last Dec than this month.
  16. A bit picky of you but yes in Thai would've been better. Tried to change a bit later but edit option had gone nevertheless the message stays the same.
  17. This paragraph is completre nonsense. "In a recent interview, concerns about the welfare of domesticated elephants have surged." This comes from "....a recent interview, ....". One interview does not equal a surge. Complete rubbish. As for a threat to their very existence I doubt this is the only reason. Another AI article by The Thaiger Chat GPT who apparently do not proof read or edit AI articles or do it very poorly.
  18. This money would go a long way to helping farmers with technology, processes and education to move away from burning. This would be money better spent.
  19. RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very short term populist policy they still don't know how they're going to pay for. Take corrupt money out of the corrupt's pockets and there would be billions of baht to circulate in the economy rather than go to offshore accounts etc..
  20. This is what's called gutter oil. This is China.
  21. In times where video can now be AI generated this animation certainly looks last century. Bit like most government school classrooms. And speaking of AI thank you again TheThaiger Chat GPT for yet another brilliant article.
  22. Ah but there is big money in rice for the millers and exporters. Sadly nothing in it for farmers. No money to buy hi tech farming equipment that's for sure. Plenty of farmers would strongly disagree with this comment once they had stopped laughing.
  23. Room 101 on how to appear neutral in the process of justice. The CC already has the verdict and we all know what that is.
