I did see an article about the huge concrete beam dropping down onto the walkway a couple of days ago but these were separate incidences. Trains world wide serve alcohol where alcohol is legally available in those countries. I might be wrong but this would make Thailand unique in this regard.

There were buffet carriages. As I remember you were not allowed to take alcohol back to your seat. It was nice.
