  1. What an answer and he was just asking a question!!
  2. Very interesting and can not advise you on this and yes the lack of forms and all the personal allowances are not on them no new forms but have been advised several times by my local Revenue Office that my personal allowances are higher than my income and I do not need to fill in a tax form. I get your concern and yes people been stating this and they obviously have you on their system and yes maybe ignore it and yes a Thai friend's wife friend works in the local Revenue and stated the same and there is a wide differing opinions on this tax issue.
  3. No forms and yet again, I have been told by my local Revenue that I do not need to file and have asked "Do you have employment in Thailand? No and mentioned my allowances are higher than any income coming in and also mentioned I have a pink ID Card That makes no difference you still do not need to file.
  4. They talk <deleted>e as per normal but sorry even the so-called experts fighting each other!!!
  5. Again been be told you do not need to file as my allowances are more than my income
  6. Right as most of us have read and seen all these posts from so-many experts and a close friend a Thai was again asking me about this clear as mud income tax policy and yes his partner knows someone who works in the local Kanchanaburi Revenue Department and no do not fret too much and let them come to you as if going on their system and again and again been told you do not need to file a tax return Do you work here?? No I do not so why are you trying to fill in a form and it is not needed in your circumstances and in any case the deductibles outweigh the income coming in and some of them are not listed and 2 are the 190K old age allowance and the 100k Pension allowance and the others not listed. Come on how many have had the same issue and been told the same thing and mentioned have a pink ID card and so what you still do not need to file.
  7. The so-called professionals are all at odds with each other and frankly went up to my locaL Revenue office several times and "Do you have employment here"? No so why for you want to file under the thresholds with my income and no need. I had written figures showing my UK State Pension and they did not need this and basically stated do not worry and will keep my handwritten records just in case. Yes, No Tin needed and also stated have a pink ID card and again makes no difference and yes been reading so many thousands of differing posts.
  8. Seriously are they really going to ring you and please let us know if they did??
  9. I have also mentioned having a pink ID card and again no need to file yes also got proof of tax on very small pensions in the UK and have the P60s up to of course 5th April 2024 and obviously they will be taxed again next year but will not know but very similar tax deducted in the UK

  11. I had my figures written down but they did not want to see them and that is all and several times too
  12. Yet again been told by my local Revenue office I do not need to file a tax form as my personal allowances are above the income I have and again Do you have employment here? No I do not so you do not need to file!!!
  13. Been told countless of times via the local Revenue I do not need to file a return as my allowances above any income but will keep manual / written calculations on paper
  14. They all at odds with each other and been advised to not do anything and that is several times by my local Revenue office and see many of my previous posts!!!

  16. Ok OAE over 65 years old 190K Personal Allowance 60K PA wife if joint 60K 1st income tax 150K Pension allowance 100K TOTAL 560k Also, yet again and have been up to my local Revenue office several times directly and indirectly and they have asked " Do I work in Thailand ?" No I do not so you do not need to file a return. I also raised that my income is less than than my personal allowances and have pink ID card and again makes no difference there is no need to file. Also you will be aware of thousands upon thousands of differing opinions by so many tax experts and yes the Revenue Offices and Officials/ Also there are only the 190k and 100k listed on out of date forms.
  17. Yes and agree and others stating as you are a British Citizen surely your own Government should be dealing with it and yes trying to explain so many differing views but have been told several times that my personal allowances exceed my income and you do not need to file. Also they have asked the question "Do you work here"? No so reason to file and yes aware of the 220K and also got a pink Id card and again there is no need.
  18. Yes and do not forget the personal allowances of 500 or 560K as well, Some may get more and there are other allowances but the 2, I originally and belief the majority would get these!! I have been told my income is less than my personal allowance and no need to file a tax form and asked so you work here and no and therefore the Revenue stated no need and several tines too!!!

  22. No just stating what my local Revenue Office have state many times and yes keeping my manual records but not needed.
  23. There are ways around this as has been mentioned many posts but why leave it so late?
  24. Yet again my local Revenue office have stated as my income is less than the allowed Personal Allowances that I do not need to file a tax form, Yes, people stating about about 220K but also been asked by the Revenue several times "Do you work here?" No I do not and you do not need to file. Also mentioned got a pink ID and again you still do not need to file and did have paper calculation on say my frozen State UK pension and my P60's to 5th April but did not need them but will keep them in my records The P60s also show the income tax figures of course.
  25. Yes, have hand written ones and when my Thai book updated it will show my state pension income from the UK but have a manual record if it and any pensions taxed by means of a P60 In any case have been told by my local Revenue office as my personal allowances outweigh any income and again asked many times "Do you work in Thailand " and no and why do you need to want to file and no need. Yes mentioned again got a pink Id card and again not need to file.
