  1. Precisely, Trouble and Grumpy About the allowances and exemptions, I think mentioned a form but no idea what site this is on. Just hang fire fire but not confident of it being straight forward and supposedly in English
  2. I have tried to look both these sites up and frankly, it is very confusing and one has to register but that is probably the easy part but the form are very very complicated and in tThai. We will await further clarification later on in the year but nowhere on any form does it list the personal allowances we can get to reduce out tax and in many cases the 500k plus allowances covers our total income and would think most people in this category. Yes we wait but do not hold your breath for too long but too much ifs and buts and even the so-called experts saying completely different view points
  3. Hi Mike Just me again. Sort if seeing these forms pnd 94 which then goes to form 90 and in any case looked at some other forms only include 2023. There is supposed to be an income Exemption form but can only see the 120k or 200k one. These will and will being revamped and where does it state 50% of pension Income100k and the OAE over age 65 190k. Yes hold fire as you say and you would have seen Chris/Luca on this subject on YouTube but he does not raise the question of this at all and have posted this. Quick one Mike I saw about joint filing and see the joint filing attached form in red but noticed 65 so I can not claim for my wife unless this is going to be changed. As you say, Mike just hang fire. Cheers mate and I realized it is Saturday but all days roll into one here. Of course, asking for which not got as yet Let us hope the new revamped is in a much better format. Yes not mentioned to my wife but the daughter-in-law saw me as they came in and asked what is that and can not explain myself and was shielding this from them as very hard to explain and I do not lol Oh just saw the last 2 posts and as and when can use my Thai ID card and interesting.
  4. Many are not taxed and other pensions do not add up to the just over 12.5k pounds approx personal allowance but folks do not forget that one can get 560K Baht on personal allowances and the forms are not out for 2024 yet and yes Mike is right we sit tight and the only one seen is the 120 or 200k but not seen any form with the allowances listed.
  5. Yes, lawyers everywhere are like the banks and other financial institutions and with all politicians one can not trust any of them and often fight each others
  6. Yes, we have been told just that from Mike Lister and indeed the expat income tax expert Carl Turner and the forms only go to 2024 and does not show the allowances.
  7. And the forms at present do not show all the allowances and can you be a bit polite with your replies thanks
  8. Yes precisely my point only 2023 latest ok and only asking a question and no need to be rude about it ok
  9. So from now on from 28th June, we are classed as a resident of Thailand. Income tax returns have to be completed from Jan 1st, 2025 until 31st March 2025. I have asked several people and friends who are Thais who knows people in the local tax office and have not heard of this issueas of yet and I think that it is not on the Stature Book. The forms were only in Thai but led to believe that there is an English version of it and if so can anyone give me and us a link please. However, yes indeed many months to go and advised to just sti back and believe the forms might be revamped in some ways. I know there is a long thread but again many people and the tax experts stating just hang fire for now. Thanks all John West
  10. Thanks again, Mike O really appreciate everything you so, and yes we have all so much on our minds all of the time !!!
  11. Mike and have tried the local sites re this issue but can not find the form and as you say it will probably change but do we sit tight? Think I will and still many questions not answered but not by you Mike ok. Thanks agaim for all yur help
  12. Thanks again, Mike and the other allowances would show and yes think many like myself will not have much more than 500K per annum There again will they chase those with similar incomes but never go for the big fish here and around the world!!!
  13. Mike thanks again just a minute or so ago got an email from Carl Turner the expat tax expert stating if you are still in Thailand then you are past the 180 days and now a tax resident and he is suggesting that if one as an individual has 120K Baht income or 200k joint ie wife then you must submit a tax return and assume locally. Ok so far but it is not on the Statue Book as yet, unless I have missed it but yes asked a Thai friend about this issue and they have not heard of it and the forms are not in English. So what do we do to await the English version? My wife does not and has not filed ever a tax return and does not work full stop so she has to file a return? Think sort of saw the Thai version and I not sure where but sure on this site but what to do now and act in Dec/Jan Thank Mike and all John West
  14. Hi Everyone Many thanks in particular to Mike Lister and there are others and not replying to any particular post. Yes, we have friends who know someone who works in the local tax office and they know nothing about this prospective income tax situation and yes it is not surprising as I stress it still has to hit the Statute Book as yet. There were a few postings and the forms in Thai but it has not been converted to an English edition as yet I fully understand the allowances under the tax system and the only query is the 60k allowance for my wife who does not work (she does not need to register then but I can claim her 60k right?) Also, have my state pension paid directly to my Thai account but I have ordinary savings in my account in the UK which has gone down substantially, and use Wise to transfer but for living expenses and there are some other small pension monies but some ordinary savings. Could this be taxed as I have stated nothing as yet on the Statute Book and my guess well into the end of the year if not later? Just in passing and I know different departments and again we are not sure if these would work together but cut to the chase and went in to do my 90-day reporting and thought that they might ask me about this income tax issue but no nothing and in and out in literally 2 minutes. One final point is that on my Internet banking just recently noticed an HM Tax office option in red. Just trying to help out and to give information again many thanks Mike Lister and others. I also have kept in touch with a tax advisor for ex-pats with the video recently made and told me would keep posted but seemed to think much later on in the year if at all!!! Just sharing my recent experiences and hope helpfull. Sincerely John West TC all

  19. We all know that PPTV36 is on television but is it also accessible on Facebook and has a site for it. Are there any other channels apart from the outrageous subscription ones. Many thanks for your help
  20. And all over the World too ut never go for the filthy rich as it is too difficult for them but get bribes etc in return
  21. Good luck with that and many of us have absolutely nothing in Blighty but have wonderful Thai families but the Authorities certainly do not take this in account!!
