Exactly Guderian Today 6th May now at 42.33 and yes a few years ago went down to 38 and yeah you get the currency manipulators and remember back in 2006 it was 73. Many of us with Thai families are really struggling what with very poor exchange rates and a frozen state pension and not just this country but ex-pats in many other countries who have a frozen state pension and not all have pots of gold and families are being split everywhere.

Hi Richard Yes noticed this evening 6th May the exchange rate is 42.33 and the title of this about depreciation of the Baht but remember before this Covit it went down to 38 and yes of course one gets the currency manipulators. It is very difficult when many have a Thai family and yes of course we provide in the main much of the financial assistance and of course the prices going up and also those on frozen pensions. One can only do ones best and take it day by day but it is getting increasingly difficult indeed with funds running low. Also many have no homes or families back in ole blighty. Not just in Thailand but ex-pats in other countries where people have gone to live with their loved one and yes indeed many who get this barbaric and most discriminatory policy of a frozen state pension. There are those who lie about their residence but again not many have got pots of gold!!!

Thanks so much Sheryl Wow so much information and yes just want a form or rather a medical Certificate filled out and signed and fit to drive a car on my renewal of my Thai Drivers License and yes believe a few clinics in Danmakhamtia. Yes did a search and yes the hospital came up but believe on my extension my family went to a local clinic and was just asking if any on Saturday or are they just Monday to Friday. Really appreciate all the time and effort and thanks so much.

Hi Admins Just a quick question and will be based in Kanchanaburi Province in a village and yes in rural area and the doctors clinics and local clinics. Are these open specifically on a Saturday and do most of them have a walk in system. Thanks and moving but told there are a few local clinics . Exactly and my Thai family want to go and told them no chance and so much as gone up so much and yes the air fares and also financial restrictions etc.

Khun BenQ Thanks again for all of your help and have seen this about month and yes the medical certificate can not be more than before this date and my booking appointment is 10Th May so getting the certificate dated in the week starting 25th April or 2nd May is ok . Thank you once again Khun BENQ Yes thought it was one month so if my appointment on 10th May if I get this week starting 25th April ore 2 May this would be fine, right? Thanks again and yes when I eventually got my date at least 5 weeks down the line but difficult if have to cancel because of covit etc.

I have an appointment on 10th May and just want to find out if the medical certificate can be dated week starting 25th April or 2nd May and think it must be within 30 days. Can anyone confirm this and what happens if one can not make the appointment and in April it was a 5 week wait Thanks all re Drivers license 5 year renewal.

Some do not have a job and it just the way it is but as long as a few trips or a few days holiday and like everywhere else it happens all at once or not at all. The problem is when they know of although not family but been friends for many decades and yes very kind hearted but they are rich full stop and often forget everyone else is certainly not as rich as them!! However, sometimes they forget but also very sensible but also many of us have a fixed frozen state pension and funds do not last forever but again in all countries in the world. One day at a time and try to enjoy each day and just do the best for your own family.

pmbkk and others YeS there are very high premiums indeed but just in passing someone who resides in Indonesia and not Indonesian but just recently the Government stating all members can have cover for 6 months and much longer term with their Indonesian family and in his 80's and quoted as 27 pounds a month but of course the likelihood of this in Thailand is still a distant dream. My Thai Family have tried several times to put me on their policy without success and yes we provide most of the finance and also many other things and even if a same small policy with the same company would be sky high and yes a sort of reserve in place.

Thai tom and moonlover Appreciate your response and yes the same with everything try it and should have made it clear and have a debit card for GSB but not yet used it. Agree try it out first and yes the SCB has an option for English and not sure if GSB has as I believe most accounts held by Thai Nationals but same for SCB However my frozen state pension did hit my /scb account as per usual today 13th. And a maximum of one month and realise so many hoops to go through and yes returning to Thailand for a non Thai and covit cover and so on and believe one had to go down to Bangkok,

Just a possibility of just a holiday and realise some of the reguirements such as passports and visa but yes no firm dates as yet. Thanks all
