  1. Outsiders. They want to do something that they know will really mess with normal people and they obviously assumed that no one would find out it was them. If people had the same political fanaticism in the UK that you see in the US, these guys would probably be in Antifa or something.
  2. Not even slightly. As I said, it's simply an interesting situation. If you read the whole comment, and have a think about it, you'll see that I'm not doing anything like what you're trying to claim.
  3. You mean when a crowd of people casually strolled into an office building and took some selfies? Doesn't sound much like a coup to me.
  4. Who is saying that it is any kind of defence?
  5. Yeah. Just like it's "odd" that people seem to care more about Jan 6 than the BLM months long riots... 🙄
  6. Absolutely. The fact that the left-wing press played it down so much is disgusting, as you rightly point out.
  7. Yes. The tree was probably free, plus could be replaced by another tree for a low cost. There's a thing called "loss of amenity"* which someone can claim damages for following an injury, in additional to something like loss of income, as you point out. Interesting to see it applied to a tree. *"the loss in your quality of life and lifestyle changes that you have had to endure as a result of your injuries"
  8. Yeah, I had a similar thing in the shower. Some sort of build up in the drain. A good blast with the bum gun sorted it. Never heard of stuff like this in the West, though. Normally toilet paper or a large stool in the toilet, or hair in the shower.
  9. Did I say that they had? How could you possibly know this anyway?
  10. It's an interesting case, as, on some level, it's all kind of subjective. The tree is there, some people like it, now the tree is not there, and no doubt some people like that too. Some people might claim that vandalism and destruction of property is in some way a creative expression of something.
  11. I'll try to give you a serious and hopefully helpful response. I believe that toilets can accumulate a build up of something on the insides of the pipe. This leads to a not quite blockage, but it reduces the flow a lot. It could be something like fat or oil that goes in there, maybe Thai food puts a lot of this in people's stools. You can buy products that are designed to eat away built up fat within the pipe and clear the restriction. I believe you can get them in supermarkets. Be wary of the power of the stuff and where you put it. You can get some milder stuff which you can leave over night and use multiple times.
  12. While I realise that English isn't your first language, and you make a lot of small errors which we should probably try to tolerate, it isn't great to get angry at others when it is your error that has led to a misunderstanding.
  13. It comes out through his fingers as he types and ends up on this forum!
  14. Basically, people see this kind of thing as a way of getting what they want. Social media has spread this sort of "moral absolutism" like wildfire. "This is the right thing to do, therefore it must be done." You can tell it's hogwash by the fact that so little care is shown to anything else. The same thing happened during the covid government protests. Suddenly people were talking about human rights like Thailand was a first world country, when we all know that in the day to day, Thai people don't think about human rights at all. But they saw human rights as a tool to get what they want.
  15. Or, even worse, Starmer!!!
  16. Based on the context of it being in Thailand, where substance is not really a thing and only appearances matter, presumably the candidates who can afford to hire people to drive round in trucks playing loud audio for them appear to be have more money or respect, so are therefore a better candidate.
  17. And, knowing Thailand, they'll still expect a load of stuff to be totally chill and only for appearances, then suddenly just things to do with "oppressed groups" will have to be taken very seriously.
  18. Indeed. I'm not sure why so many foreigners seem to want to pretend that Thailand doesn't need tourism. It isn't just the money coming in, but it's where all the supplies come from and where all those employed in tourism send/spend their money.
  19. It's more like 20% and a lot of money comes from foreign tourists. Without tourism, Thailand would be in big trouble financially. You're simply demonstrating your economic ignorance, to be honest. Not that this is even what I was originally talking about. 🤦‍♂️
  20. Ah. So, when asked to confirm, you didn't want to admit that you were wrong, so you effectively said "yes (no)"? Why not just say you were wrong and you meant most?
