  1. I appreciate your comment, when I was in the U.K. I didn’t see any temperature monitors anywhere, must be a Thai thing ?
  2. Unless some one is monitoring the scanners most people ignore them, the Friendship Supermarket the entrance is manned, you take your temp. and a security guard sprays your hands
  3. When I applied for my Non O in April at the London Embassy Health Insurance was mandatory, the Insurance I had for my COE covered it.
  4. Fact of life unfortunately but why shut everything down again, we can’t go living like this forever.
  5. They have had enough had 7 months to organise a return too school but apparently they have been sitting on their butts hoping Covid would go away.
  6. Could they have had the infection before returning too school, would it not have been sensible too test the kids before they returned ?
  7. Could be spike in Pattaya after the music festival no way will social distancing be observed.
  8. I remember in the U.K. Fish and Chip shops put the price of chips up because of the cost of new potatoes, the price never come down again when the potatoes were old !

    Bangla Road

No different in Pattaya, loads of refurbishment and new bars, hope they know something I don’t.
  10. I agree but because some one told him he is 100% convinced and I can’t get him too change his mind !
  11. A colleague has been informed he requires a Covid Passport before he can leave Thailand issued by the Amphur Office or he won’t be allowed too leave Thailand. I have no idea where he got the information from. He has a vaccination certificate from the hospital which I said would be ok for his flight via Amsterdam into Dublin, I know it’s a daft question but he doesn’t want too book a flight, there is an 8 day waiting list currently before the Amphur Office can issue a Vaccine Passport.
  12. Covid speeded the process of the demolition up as I don’t believe the owners would be receiving any rent for the bars and Covid moved the demolition program forward.
  13. The restaurants/coffee shops in Tree Town are packed out most nights, no alcohol being served so what’s the difference in serving alcohol, oh I forgot alcohol is a super spreader. Quite a few people will have lost their potential income as the Made In Thailand bar area is being demolished approximately 63 small bars, is this what the authorities want ?
  14. Thanks for the info, very informative. Thanks for the info, very informative
  15. I am 70 years old and have never driven a scooter and I don’t think the busy roads round Pattaya is the best place too learn.
  16. In the UK people were told to self isolate some did some didn’t, you can’t just lock people up. I am sure loads of Thais have/had COVID but never got tested because of the threat of being put in a isolation unit.
  17. I agree but up until recently you were hospitalised even if only asymptotic and not all insurance companies would be pay out for it.
  18. If they stop hospitalising every one who tests positive there will be loads of beds !
  19. No different from sober people cramming into local markets and supermarkets, sober or inebriated you can still pass the virus on.
  20. If I remember rightly last year the Government said GDP for tourism was only 10% and the shortfall could be made up by promoting domestic tourism. I think 21% of GDP plus another 10% in the black economy is more likely.
  21. Because the Government have got the majority of Thais s*** scared of Covid and now controlling them.telling them what they can do or not do.
