  1. If I thought you were receptive to learning I'd explain the difference between anecdotal and empirical evidence, and show that the empirical evidence proves that the risks of not being vaccinated greatly outweigh the risks of being vaccinated. However I don't think you're interested.
  2. "Those who were unvaccinated made up only 4.6 per cent of COVID-19 cases, but 22.8 per cent of deaths were among people who had not received any doses. The unvaccinated are grossly over-represented in terms of deaths." https://www.smh.com.au/national/people-are-still-dying-from-covid-but-who-and-are-they-vaccinated-20220314-p5a4d6.html
  3. How do any of your deflections change the fact that real world data show that the risk of going unvaccinated greatly outweighs the risk of vaccination?
  4. OK..... I gave properly sourced numbers, you give speculation. No point in continuing.
  5. In summary: DeSantis is misusing Florida taxpayer money to get attention for himself from outside Florida. Thanks for pointing that out.
  6. Yours is an early study based on preliminary data. For something more current: "Reports of adverse events to VAERS following vaccination, including deaths, do not necessarily mean that a vaccine caused a health problem. More than 657 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through December 7, 2022. During this time, VAERS received 17,868 preliminary reports of death (0.0027%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine." https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/adverse-events.html Keep in mind that the 0.0027% death reports (death reported but not necessarily caused by the vaccination) represent about 3 deaths per 100,000 people vaccinated. The death rate from Covid infections is over 1% (one million dead and 99 million infections). https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home Nothing in life is without risk, however since you are more than 300 time more likely to die from a Covid infection than from the vaccination, vaccinations are clearly the smart choice.
  7. DeSantis is using taxpayer money to fund a publicity stunt "investigation" in order to appeal to his base. It's similar to the laws he passed that he knew would get bogged down in court challenges and his illegal flying of migrants from Texas to Massachusetts using money designated to remove illegal immigrants from Florida. He's had to go quiet on the illegal immigrant bashing because so many are being employed in the clean-up and rebuilding of south Florida after hurricane Ian. He's looking for something new to keep his name in the news and his face on Fox.
  8. You can drive a new car for years without doing any maintenance, or for decades if you stay up on the maintenance. It's pretty much the same thing with a software based business; it will work fine for a while if you stop fixing bugs and making necessary changes to accommodate updates to the operating systems it must work on, but it will eventually fall apart. Also, if an employee isn't productive it isn't because he or she is stealing, it is because management is incompetent.
  9. If you really don't know anything about Qanon, don't you think you should educate yourself on their wacko conspiracy theories before commenting on them? BTW: It's safe to assume Elon Musk does know about Qanon and may even be one of its detached from reality followers. Yeah I know he's rich, so was Howard Hughes. Wealth does not offer protection from insanity.
  10. Warning: The following statement is from a legitimate source and is a coherent explanation of "gain of function" and its legitimate use. Science-phobic people should not read: "Gain-of-function (GOF) research involves experimentation that aims or is expected to (and/or, perhaps, actually does) increase the transmissibility and/or virulence of pathogens. Such research, when conducted by responsible scientists, usually aims to improve understanding of disease causing agents, their interaction with human hosts, and/or their potential to cause pandemics. The ultimate objective of such research is to better inform public health and preparedness efforts and/or development of medical countermeasures." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27502512/ Also, it the origins of the corona virus are still unclear. The "escaped from a lab" conjecture is only one possibility.
  11. "Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say More than 50 former intelligence officials signed a letter casting doubt on the provenance of a New York Post story on the former vice president's son." That was correct, wasn't it? Even more informative is the first paragraph of the Politico article: "More than 50 former senior intelligence officials have signed on to a letter outlining their belief that the recent disclosure of emails allegedly belonging to Joe Biden’s son “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” " Do you have any evidence that the laptop and the peculiar way it came to light did not have the earmarks of a Russian information operation? People in government express informed opinions and the legitimate news media reports their opinions. That's how it's supposed to work. I assume you would prefer a shrill "Oh my God! Let's make a hysterical scene without confirming this story!" response. Also, as has been explained to you repeatedly (do you have comprehension problems?) Tony Bobulinksi has no credibility in this matter. Do you have any other evidence that President Biden was involved in his son's seedy business deals?
  12. Once again: Legitimate news organizations don't publish unverified stories, the "highly organized effort" you refer to was conducted under the Trump administration, and no verifiable link to President Biden has been reported.
  13. If I understand this correctly, click-bait of the hate speech variety will not be promoted on Twitter or allowed to earn revenue. Seems like a good policy to me.
  14. Attacks on legitimate military targets inside Russia using Ukrainian and captured Russian weapons should have been allowed long ago.
  15. The organization run by a Republican appointed by a Republican (by Trump, if you consider him a true Republican). The organization that put Trump in the White House by re-opening the HRC email investigation days before the 2016 election.
  16. Committee for what? Were their politicians that spent weeks organizing a big rally, who gave incendiary speeches, then pointed the mob in a certain direction and told them to "fight like hell"?
  17. Unlikely. Investigation their claims will not only show them to be correct, but could uncover other inconvenient facts about January 6 that will embarrass a lot of Republicans.
  18. Did you read the post I replied to? It wasn't posted by you, unless you also post under the name riclag.
  19. Help me out here: Are high ranking officials wasting valuable time on the laptop, or are they intentionally ignoring it? It seems it has to be one or the other, and we're getting both versions. About the only thing the Trump supporters seem to agree on is that the FBI under the Trump appointed director could not be trusted.
