There are several places listed on different apps, but the chargers are actually inoperative, others have only AC chargers, which are next to useless except for hotel guests that stay over night and leave their cars hooked up. All in all, H-H is still stone age when it comes to real DC charger infrastructure, but it could change quickly.

Have you installed the BYD dash-cam? Could you work from that video feed, as it is obviously a fixed view? might need some practice to get a reference point established.

It's the former, all EV's get the incentive, and it goes to the importer, presumably with a lot of red tape involved. Does not change the bottom line to the buyer, we get a heck of a deal right now, but I am not sure how much longer this program will be in effect.

I jumped on one of the Chinese imports because it has no import taxes, and the Thai government handed me a check of THB 150,000 for buying this Chinese made car........ and I love what I got to pieces - what's not to like about value for the money? I was at the Car Expo yesterday, and the reservation stats of the 2 first days confirm the traffic - Changan had by far the most crowded booth.

I used EleXA for a quick top up for the first time yesterday - and it was Tesla quick......... plug in, select charging level on app (I set it to 40%) confirm, wait for about 30 sec for comm to establish - and it started charging. Ramping up to 120 kW in less than a minute, charged to the selected 40% in 8 minutes, during which time I helped a first-time user on the second cable to get his Good Cat refilled, unplugged, paid, drove off. BTW - in that order! I paid after I charged, via QR code and bank app - that rocks! Last but not least - got the tax invoice for my records in my email within minutes.

You know - this made me crack up, so I was not the only one.......... I got the information how to access that little gem - from all places I despise the most! ...........FB! Its in the turn signal stalk: the button on the tip of the stalk, toggle through trip and odo..........gawd I was so relieved to have finally found it.

Is yours also a 3.8s? I never even come close to seeing anything over 570 km of range on the dynamic GOM. My calculation is actual, i.e. distance driven (from trip meter) and battery % indicator. BTW - this is the last screenshot of the consumption indicator: 15.9 kWh/100 km for the last 50 km. This computes to almost the exact WLTP range - or 518.9 km. My actual consumption was 19.9 kWh/100 km. The consumption information on Chinese cars is one of the shortcomings compared to a Tesla - and it pains me to say this - hopefully someday BYD will copy the clear software leader of electrical cars!

Did you calculate your range? Could you have done the complete journey without adding 'gas'? We just did another BKK - HH round trip and I have to admit, I am a little shocked to not have been able to do it this time, I had to add 7% juice on the way, assuming the range indicator is linear. (added 16% and had 9% remaining per attached pic) This would put the range to around 413 km - a bit disappointing. The effective range could be a little higher, because the last 25 km I floored it a few times to make sure the SOC would be below 10% when we reached home - but the range is nowhere near mid 400's. Now I am ready to do the mandatory 10 to 100% charging cycle to allow cell balancing if it is necessary. As for the religious gobbledygook, do you think I should have driven around the block a couple more times to make the trip odometer tick over from the death tetraphobia multiple..........

Yesterday I perused 'our' BYD dealer's FB page, and could not believe the number of cars they handed over to customers - mostly Dolphins and Atto 3s, but also quite a few Seals. It's a massive dealership, but the traffic must make the owner smile all the way to the bank.......did I hear a happy jingle a lingle a ting? The flip side is, service suffers, they are simply overwhelmed. BYD is expanding so rapidly worldwide, so not surprisingly, their ratings in China are in the toilet.
