  1. What do you need clarified? What is going on is that in six weeks or so you will have to go to a branch and have a photo taken. You mean hyperbolics like "But sure, you die on the hill of it is all going to plan..."
  2. I think Bangkok has about 2.24 times the population of Berlin, and generates about 2.16 times as much garbage...
  3. I think New York City has about 2.4 times the population of Bangkok and generates about 5 times as much garbage...
  4. People talking about different branches telling them different things. Wow, that seems like really solid intel, particularly given the language issue. Maybe you have to have 50k in each one. Have you tried the Krungsri app as I suggested? What is the point? It's still two months out. So? I don't go to the bank to make transfers anyway, do you? If online transfers quit working, I'll go down and have my picture taken. I think you and the rest of the guys worried about it ought to get together and stage a demonstration in front of the Bank of Thailand and demand clarification. What do you think might happen in the event you are unable to transfer 50K per transaction until you go down to have a picture taken?
  5. Maybe it's a minimum balance thing. Anyone with less than 50K in their account would not need to worry about transferring more than that, And do I think what is about the wording of the announcements? That has not been my experience. How are different branches contacting people? What statements have been released? I have BKK Bank, K-Bank and Krungsri. None of them has contacted me. The only thing I have "received" is a pop-up when I open the Krungsri app. Why not try opening the Krungsri app? This is the pop-up I get:
  6. So what (specifically) makes it next to impossible to submit an issue for a referendum?
  7. But the percentage of households that have guns has not really gone up. Hey, maybe we could try enforcing exiting gun laws...
  8. It would be nice if our governments in the US would focus more on enforcing exiting laws, including gun laws rather than just pushing legislation that will do nothing. We've always had a lot of guns in the US, but all of the sudden they're the problem.
  9. What (specifically) makes it next to impossible to submit an issue for a referendum? As anyone who looks at the history knows, Disneyland is in California.
  10. I used to have a card when I was working, I do not think I have a card anymore. I am registered at a private hospital that also accepts Thai Social Security Medical Again, I do not think I have a card since I retired. I just use my pink ID. The last time I used it was a few months ago to get a rabies vaccination regiment due to a feral cat bite.
  11. No, I do not know if the payment I make to keep my Thai social medical insurance active since I retired is the same as making a payment to the Thai Social Security Fund.
  12. The announcement I received was clear. What was unclear about the one(s) you received?
  13. That's odd. Once mine started it never missed beat.
  14. Do you think it should be easy to get get things on ballots?
  15. I don't know. I do know that it is a payment required to keep my Thai social medical insurance active since I retired.
  16. No worries, all my money is in houses and lots. Whore houses and lots of booze!
  17. I had to hit the brakes when a full-grown bull elephant made a right turn in front of me. He was coming from Rama IV onto Sukhumvit in rush-hour traffic. I had a lot more exciting stuff happen to me in the US than in Thailand.
  18. Is that not what I said? What have they done to block it from being on the ballot. I think it should be difficult to get things on the ballot, and I think that (generally) people should vote on election day, and when the polls close, that should be the end of collecting ballots.
  19. Mine is for my social medical payment. I'm set up for direct debit for the monthly payments and use a dedicated account. Apparently, without my Thai language name from my pink ID on the account, I would have to make the payments myself each month.
  20. Indeed, generally "A man reaps what he sows."
  21. Not to worry, you won't be able to afford a wheelbarrow.
  22. And I'll bet you enjoy "The Nib"...
  23. Yeah, mine was K-Bank/Thai-Farmer Krungsri, what do you not understand? Thai social required an account with Thai spelling of name.
  24. I had actually missed one passport, so when I showed the "old" and new passport the old did not match. I had to fine my old, old passport.
