  1. What do you do to someone in 24 hours that does not leave marks and gets them to confess to a crime that would easily result in the death penalty?
  2. No. That is the bummer about cardless withdrawal, they only work at your bank's ATMs. I assume this will change at some point. I do not use a lot of cash, and only withdraw cash every month or two. For someone getting money everyday all over town it might not be the best choice.
  3. Not in Patts, but plenty in BKK
  4. You know why. With the current justice department they can just probe a few more and have a majority.
  5. 19K seems like a stretch. Maybe at some private schools but certainly not the average. Everything for my kid seems cheap. He's in uni not and I doubt he spends that on uniforms and whatnot.
  6. Go to one of the many other little shack next to toll booths everywhere perhaps?
  7. The problem is well meaning people doing things based only on their good intentions, without regard to the actual results. This makes them Evil.
  8. If it's made legal it will be worse for the actual workers and they'll earn even less.
  9. For me, it seems safer and easier than using the card. K-Bank's app is (I think) better for it than Krungsri.
  10. I don't have an ATM card from a Thai account. So far, unlike the ATM card, the cardless withdrawal is free.
  11. Absolutely, just luck at the massive benefit to society legalized marijuana has been.
  12. Exactly. Let the people that use it, pay for it.
  13. While drugs are a hole people fall into, many of the people involved, particularly traffickers are doing what they want. What is saddest about attics is the number of well-meaning people that do more harm than good.
  14. I like using a desktop PC as well, but getting it down to the ATM for a cardless withdrawal is a hassle.
  15. I was talking more about people that actually pay the bill with their own money, but many would quit buying travel insurance if medical care was free, yes? No, the principle of insurance is that many pay a bit in the event that they are one of the few that need it.
  16. So is "THAI NEWSROOM" an Asean Now company?
  17. Do you think that everyone needing emergency medical treatment is broke and without insurance? No, but they are certainly not going to pay for it if it's "free". Yes, so all the responsible tourists pay for the irresponsible tourists, brilliant.
  18. You can seriously believe that the cost will not go up if medical care is made "free". That's more ridiculous than calling it a "human right".
  19. Yeah, I don't believe that I think the idea is ridiculous. Is food a human right? Housing? Transportaion? Internet?
  20. Unless you like dark colored cars, or sunroofs for that matter.
