  1. Is this the same guy that told use that white supremacists were the greatest threat to the US and the US military was inundated with them? Nice they finished their three-year study and walked it back. So, what should Israel be doing differently?
  2. Yet education, transportation and healthcare all seem to cost more every year, while at the same time being worth less.
  3. I hope Biden's poll numbers improve, but there's not way he debates Trump, he can't. He'll play the he's a dictator/insurrectionist/hitler card to get out of it.
  4. Assuming your car is parked at home during the day, yes?
  5. Why do you claim 56,170 is below average? What is the average? In any event, a 2.8-liter Fortuner burns significancy more fuel than for a MG ZS, so even with the extra cost of petrol vs diesel, the MG is much cheaper to fuel. And again, the numbers are based on getting electricity for free, which is not really possible unless you are stealing it. Even if you charge using only excess solar (not likely), you still have the cost of the solar installation to consider. I'm not knocking EVs, I am probably going to buy one in April, I just don't see the cost savings being as great as they seem. Of course, the more you drive, the more you would save. Before I retired, I was driving over 60,000km a year.
  6. That's what I thought, thanks!
  7. That will be easy, because there is no way Biden would debate him.
  8. Only if you need a new vehicle. I did run the numbers comparing the same model MG in ICE and EV versions and I think to offset the cost of the upcharge for the EV was about seven years if memory serves me correctly, and again, assuming the electricity is free. The best reason to buy a new car is because you want one. The best reason to buy an EV is because you want one.
  9. You said: "Many styles were ‘borrowed’ from people who weren’t famous." I asked for an example, and you were not able to provide one, whatever. That one guitarist cites another guitarist as influence does not really mean anything. Virtually all the guitarists that might be cited by others, were popular in their own right at some point.
  10. A lot of people do know what they spend on fuel. A lot of people don't realize how hard it is to actually cost justify buying a new car based on fuel savings. This is what I spent in 2023 on fuel driving a 2016 2.8L Fortuner: Even if I paid nothing for electricity, it would take almost 18 years to justify one million Baht to buy a new EV. The average km per month I've drive since the car was new, is 1,086. That's about a THB3,120 spend per month for fuel. Add another 2-3K twice a year for oil changes. Trying to use cost savings to justify buying a new vehicle makes little sense to me.
  11. So, you don't know. A riff being difficult, does not make it good.
  12. It's great that you're getting the help you want, I hope it's the help you need.
  13. Mostly guys get famous developing their own style, and or writing their own stuff or being with guys that do. Guys generally don't get famous doing covers sounding like someone else. Some people on here were bashing Brian May. Now you can say what you want, but Brian May sounds like Brian May. Whether a musician is technically better than another, really makes no difference if they do not have their own style. I like what Duke Ellington said when asked about all the new jazz, and how to tell if it was good. He looked a bit puzzled and said: "If it sounds good, it is good." My dad was full time for over ten years and played great. No one ever heard of him.
  14. "All my money is tied up in houses and lots, whore houses and lots of booze."
  15. How might you hear of someone that has not done anything popular? Lots of great engineers, but you only hear about the ones that do something exceptional. Session musicians are some of the best in the business, yet you never hear of 95% of them.
  16. There are a lot of great guitar players, but unless they have developed their own style and done something popular, you will likely never hear of them, and for good reason.
  17. Don't the tanks just work as an accumulator?
  18. He just makes it up as he goes along...
  19. I think my kid's AIS post-paid sim piggybacks on my wife's post-paid contact. I think it's less than B200 a month.
