I haven't met one normal farang, everyone I meet is totally nuts! 😄 There is many great guys, but very few is at my age, and most I'm friends with working in Thailand at Bangkok or Hua Hin and one in Chiang may. Those who are at my age is usually is, well, what Udon Thani used to be an American base, so totally different, both availability of Western food and girls who speaks English. I have met a few single around in Isaan who are teachers, and I would say each and one of them had characteristics of being little bit different mildly said. There is many different types of westerns in Thailand, but people around my age is usually social benefits for some reasons, and most are a bit far out there. Either with alcohol and stimulants or other extreme variants of survival grips to manage a normal day, whatever that is. Enough said, know what you doing when moving to Isaan, or maybe better said, Thailand.

Having a wife in Thailand doesn't cost more than single life, I would say I save money by having a steady relationship. We travel cheaper than I would had done as a bachelor, eat more home, do not go on dates or nightclubs. Do not buy new 1,6 mill motorbike and wife happy with a simple pick up. And I'm not living in an rented appartment at 50k, but bought land and built a small farm for 24 month rent
