  1. If you regret something, you learned something by admitting you did something wrong, and willing to correct.
  2. The last 8 years visiting and living in Thailand, it was the hottest year I have experienced this spring/rainseason or lack of start of rainseason. I cant really tell before that because I always stayed on Islands or beach destinations
  3. or worse you think they are, and they are not, so easy to misunderstand and make confusions, as well say wront things convinced you speaking fluently thai. My wife always points out when I meet foreigners who say they speak flyently, they do not, but they are to politie to tell them as well correct them
  4. Drinking and bed friend above 75, doesnt seem like a useful mix. Even now I struggle finishing being intoxicated
  5. Im happy I semi retired early, gave it a chance and found out this was way to early, and also I learned for me Thailand is not where I want to be when Im getting older. For those guys who retired early 2000 it must have been great, or better because of stronger valuta compared to Thai baht, the atmosphere, and I also believe it have been alot warmer the last 5 years than my earlier experiences. Myabe just because I get older, I do not know, but I struggle with doing things outside when it get to hot, and do not thrive being locked up inside in aircondition rooms instead of outside doing something.
  6. Usa and Israel sending missiles to take out their enemies? Killing innocent doing so It is all about how you see things in perspective, and enemy of state will always be an enemy of the state, and there will be consequences. People are pursued and prosequted as well convicted for telling the truth to in the west. Julian Assange and Edward Snowden comes to mind.
  7. Everyone have something they wish they did different that someone else can learn from. Even you
  8. I lived happily up in Isaan not knowing the language. It was a huge relief from living elsewhere where I understand parts, and some of what it is about, and kept myself busy trying to understand. In my opinion, better to have a good relationship with a partner who have good language skills, and one you can comunicate with on daily basis, instead of half learning a language. But creds to those who manage and do the efforth to learn. For me it was ok without
  9. The only way democrats can regain any respect is to just call the BS, and say we need a new candidate! No respect left for the democrates, and lets hope one of them have the balls to step up, and say Im up for it and call out Trump and his BS
  10. Every country have their protesters and every time there is a anti war protest, there is violence and arrested people involved, democratic or a dictatorship. We know Putin, and his will, but how many do believe in his war, that is a different matter. More important, how many leaders believe in Putin and is willing to cooperate with him, and see the west as two face double moralists? Thats what matters in future
  11. The propaganda is one thing, and the real reasons another! He sold a war to his people, and so far it seems to have been accepted by the majority as far as we know by now. Putin wanted his hands of Ukraines resources and strategic land areas to position Russia on the world map, and have his muppet government installed so he could controll Ukraine completely. Nazis, private armies, Russians rights violated, corruption and cia sponsored coup just more reasons to fill in for the propaganda war.
  12. For those of you who have lived here for years, and above 75 years old. What would you have done differently? What advice would you give a new expat who arrives here? I'm not just thinking of girls, the P4P scene that is obvious, most choose to either stay away from, or make their own experiences, I'm thinking of more practical things. Did you sell everything and leave for good, or was it a process? Anyone lived here for a while and moved back, and why did you make the decision to move back. Some maybe relocated to another Asian country? Or outside Asia?
  13. Im much younger than you, and my music as well desire for watching movies is not the same as before, but I realized it is more connected to my mood. Still enjoy peace and quiet alot more these days, especially after living in Thailand more or less the last 8 years.
  14. Okay, Im just saying, there is not much around Pattya compared to Hua Hin
  15. Is it a physical change you think, or mood? Done a hormone check? Hormones have a great influence on your mood, so maybe worth a try. Hormon patces or gel can do a change in life quality
  16. The difference from Hua Hin, there is very little close by scenery and nice roads in Pattaya. Hua Hin you have so many options to go out and follow the beaches, or go more in to the jungle and more interesting little trafficked roads up to Kanchanaburi through Suan Phueng. Hua Hin also have the bigger scooter club riding every sunday I think it was. Cant remember the name now, but active on fb, and it looked like well organized group with many great rides. At least from the pics they posted.
  17. AI created false news most likely
  18. It is freedom of speach, anybody can voice their opinions, even you
  19. What I can see for the 24 model, it only comes with ABS, so I guess thats standard for now. What would be interesting, if you could switch off and on on the fly
  20. Travelling around at cheap bargain hostels, there is no kitchen, only a microwave at best. Try cooking your 200 baht meals there πŸ˜„ Thats my lunch, so living at 200 baht a day, and announce that as sustainable? well possible, but not for me. And I want not only pork meat, I want quality meat, god only knows what they feed the pigs with in Thailand, and the farmed fish?
  21. well you are the science guy on this πŸ˜„
  22. non of the affordable have uv light and are just led lights However here is an article β€œWhen it comes to mosquitoes, bug zappers don't work,” says James Fordyce, an entomologist at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. β€œI don't know any insect ecologist that doesn't know that.” Bug zappers are exceptional killers of bugs β€” just not the ones that bite you. https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2023/09/12/bug-zappers-mosquito-repellent/
  23. The zapper works because the fly or mosquito eventually will fly in to it, not because there is anything there that attracts it because the led lights doesnt work. What is good mosquito bait? Making a combination of sugar, yeast, and water is an effective way to trap mosquitoes on and around your property. "After a few hours, the yeast starts releasing a steady stream of carbon dioxide, which mosquitoes are highly attracted to," says Timothy Wong, technical director of M&M Pest Contro
  24. it all dependes on your diet and needs for maintain weight, build or loose. 200,- baht is not enough for my daily needs of fresh food and healthy food even me make everything from scratch. 300g vegetables, 300g meat, 3 eggs, you are pretty much at 300 baht or more already
