Is Thailand really the 'Land Of Smiles' in 2024?
Hummin replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Soi 6 was also mentioned as a joke from my behalf, since I got some heat when I said soi 6 could not be a quality tourist destination or quality tourist who frequently visited there. Using smart phone everywhere with sound. Even at 5 star hotels, they (thais and chinese do not care when having breakfest or around the pool. -
What is the best time of year to visit Krabi?
Hummin replied to Nicolas Flammable's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
December and January to mid february is my experience, but December and beginning of January can still give you heavy showers and quite strong winds. One year we where stuck on Koh Lanta for Koh Lipe a few days, and the same on the way back. Speed boats went down and a few was missing for weeks. -

Im ok, there is other places in Thailand to waste time and money I find more interesting 😉 I think social media plays a significant role when it comes to being informed, distracted and happiness. As well how much attention tourists gets when walking around, or being served. Even customers sit with their faces in the phone, -

After being here for decades as a tourist and now living here more or less the last 7 - 8 years, it is more about you. When they see new tourists they can smell them on a mile distance, and new naive tourists means fresh money., If I am happy, walking in a mall or marked in Isaan people smile to me, but if Im busy with me and mine, not many smile. If you want to feel special and explore the land of smile, Pattaya is a better place, flash your money thats all it takes. Especially soi 6 is a happy place some told me. Quality tourist destinatin and genuin in every way -

Even I do not agree with the timing, should have been done long time ago, or later after the war is over! I feel strongly about the propaganda and wrong facts going viral! Norway condemns terrorism Both the Palestinian and Israeli authorities have been informed of the Norwegian Government’s decision to recognise Palestine as a state. ‘Norway intends to continue its close contact with the Israeli authorities. Norway was one of the first countries to recognise the state of Israel in 1949. Israel is in a vulnerable security situation, and Norway recognises Israel’s legitimate right to defend itself, within the framework of international law. We believe that the two-state solution is in Israel’s best interests. It will help to establish a more peaceful, safe and stable region,’ said Mr Støre Facts Norway recognises Palestine as a state in line with international law and relevant resolutions by the UN Security Council. The territorial demarcation between the state of Palestine and the state of Israel should be based on the pre-1967 borders, i.e. the demarcation line as set out in the 1949 Armistice Agreements, with Jerusalem as the capital of both states and without prejudice to a final settlement on borders, including the use of land swaps. Recognition of the state of Palestine is part of the follow-up to the 2023 decision in the Storting (Norwegian Parliament) that the Government may choose to recognise Palestine as a state at a time when the decision could be of value to the peace process and without any conditions relating to a final peace agreement. The decision to recognise Palestine as a state is considered a matter of importance which, in accordance with Article 28 of the Constitution, requires approval by the King in Council of State. Following the adoption by Royal Decree on Friday 24 May, Palestine will be formally informed of the recognition by verbal note. Norway’s formal recognition of Palestine as a state will enter into force on Tuesday 28 May 2024. The recognition of Palestine as a state means that Norway will consider Palestine to be an independent state with the rights and duties this entails. This includes, among other things, the expectation from Norway that all relations with Palestine will be founded on the fundamental rules of international law regarding independence, equality and peaceful coexistence. https://www.regjeringen.no/en/aktuelt/norway-recognises-palestine-as-a-state/id3040194/

Are you Dehydrated ? what you need to know
Hummin replied to CharlieH's topic in Health and Medicine
More important, the colour in the morning! Throughout the day, you can drink coffe, sugar sodas, energy drinks, alchohol, and still have a clear colour, but not in the morning! There is a huge difference between clean water with no addetives and anything mentioned above -
What did she expect? Become a Democrat president after Obamas 8 year in the seat? The historic statistic of become a democratic president after another democratic who had 8 years in the seat, is about zero chance! Living from North of Norway to Thailand, living close to nature, farming, climbed mountains, walked glaciers, fishing, hiking, camping, I have noticed many changes throughout the years but it is not science and do not prove anything. However my experiences and observations, can lead me to think something is terrrible wrong, and we are heading the wrong way, and most likely been for the last 50 years. The sums of every wrongdoing to our nature, adds up to a complete collaps in my eyes. We have disturbed our local enviroment to many places.
