Even on CNN, in the aftermath of the press conference, all the anchors and hosts were talking about Biden's lack of mental acuity, very little about his non-prosecution or even the differences the special counsel outlined between Biden and Trump and their classified documents case. What makes it so damaging for Biden is that it reinforces and gives authority to what was already perceived as his main weakness.

Biden's performance at the press conference ended up being the news story. Not the special counsel's report.

It's intriguing watching this all play out. You have Trump and all his multiple indictments and they have turned out to be politically advantageous for him (DeSantis was ahead in the polling before the indictments, I think). And now you have Biden getting "cleared" and as a result of his press conference it has turned into a political calamity.

Jimmy Carter was diagnosed and treated for brain cancer nine years ago. He announced he was going into hospice care a year ago. And he's still living. Don't know what Charles' cancer is, but getting an extra decade of life seems worth it to me.

I seem to remember that the last year or so ago a Thai shopping mall came under scrutiny and complaints from Thai manufacturers of consumer goods because the shelves of all the stores were stocked with low quality goods from China. Never did see a follow up.

All Thailand could think about was how much timber, chicken, durian, and pork it was going to export to China. It never factored in that China would dump a tsunami of cheap manufactured goods on Thailand. Exporting raw goods while receiving manufactured goods in return is what happens with colonies.

And the costs of having China as your "Big Brother" are just beginning.
