Thai worker abducted in Hamas raid on Israeli avocado farm
John Drake replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
It's okay, because the Thai government is neutral and says Thais are not being targeted. -

What Are Your Three Favourite TV Series?
John Drake replied to NoshowJones's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
After reading through the list up until right this moment, I can think of three more forgotten series worth being put up. 1. The Invaders (1967-68), with Roy Thinnes 2. The River (2012), a TV explorer goes missing in Amazonia on a river that alters space and time, with Bruce Greenwood. 3. Shogun (1980), the mini-series based on James Clavell's novel. -

I have never seen that one, although I've always wanted to. I don't think it ever ran on US television. Another obscure cult classic, sort of like Coronet Blue, I would guess from its description. -

Good one. A couple of others in that vein, Ripcord and Whirlybirds. -

I'm sort of with you on that score. I began to tire of TV when story arcs became ever present, replacing episodic TV. The only story arc series I ever liked ran for but one season, Nowhere Man (1995-96), with Bruce Greenwood. -
Just saw on the Bangkok Post that Twitter/X has removed "hundreds" of Hamas affiliated accounts and "tens of thousands" of items of content since the terror raid. Apparently, this online Hamas assault was coordinated with the real-time terror attack.

So how do you feel about Hamas and Gaza being the recipients of support/survival from the Club of Dictators and Despots?

The shaping of alliances becomes clearer and clearer. Dictators Putin and Xi (and it looks increasingly like Erdogan, too) on the side of the mullahs in Iran who organized and train Hamas and Hezbollah. On the other side the US, India, and Europe (although timidly at times) back Israel. Even with the sometimes irksome Modi, I know which side I feel is more decent.

In 2016, Palestine was part of Ottoman Syria. I know the British later launched an invasion of the area, but I'm not sure when and through which routes--and I'm too tired to look it up. Anyway, the entire region was part of the Ottoman Empire for hundreds of years. Palestine has never existed as a country, as far as I know, although interestingly when the term was used during the 1930s and after World War II, it was applied to Jews that lived there.

Thailand remains neutral on Israeli-Palestine conflict

Because one side murdered and took Thais hostage, while the other side did not. -

"Crossfire"??? Seems that Hamas captured and killed at least some of them, while continuing to hold others hostage? And the government is neutral with this being done to their own citizens? -
I'm thinking it is, because it seems designed to catch Thais' overseas income. At least if your wife has no income, however, it will give her a cushion before any taxes are owed. My wife already makes more at her job than I do with my social security and retirement annuity. We would pay even more if I tried to transfer money from overseas to her, I'm guessing.

Danger Man is right up there with those, as is Roger Moore's The Saint. -
It is best to wait for confirmation of this story. That said, confirmation or not, one thing is clear. Hamas and their Gaza supporters are psychopathically gleeful in the way they enjoy burning, beheading, and butchering people with their own hands. All the videos where they live streamed themselves committing atrocities tells me all I need to know. This is the fundamental difference between Israeli caused deaths and Palestinian caused deaths. Hamas enjoys murdering and torturing people. The other side might have someone go rogue and act similarly, but it is a rarity and not institutionalized in the behavior of the entire military/organization, as it is with Hamas.
