Well that was the plan ( if it wasn't raining or flooded ) you know immerse yourself in the occasion join the locals in celebration of this wonderous achievement all that sort of thing .. Now I'm told it may not open on the 25th but no one knows for sure because the spokesperson aint saying nowt .. Not very professional that its just the sort of thing that can give Thailand a poor reputation ..
yeah I was thinking of going to the celebrations.....no doubt monks will be in abundance to enhance the opening

It boggles my mind that Thailand is attempting to build a High speed railway
this is because one can not go down Siam Country club road....so have to use the High Speed rail line IF it ever gets started/finished !!

Local authorities should be made legally responsible for loss of business due to bungling of major projects. Even the simple things like making sure the road lights work seem s beyond the local teseban. I give you Sukhumvit road from Bang Saray to Pattaya. Long stretches of this road are in the dark. The place is teeming with motor bikes with no (rear) lights. Only when a death prompts a comment on FB will anything get done. Naturally there are no police after dark.
you forgot NO REAR NUMBER PLATES and NO MIRRORS !!!

I'm just shocked. No way these upstanding members of society would put the blame on the innocent victim unless it was true........... Anyone checked the Kata/Karon guy that was caught charging for sand and then let off after his payoffs? How about tax records of these scumbags?
they dont pay tax....all monies go into their pockets....just like bar girls...massage parlours...bar fines etc.....NO ONE PAYS any tax

Interesting. The ARL seemed to be empty when I looked. Everybody had worked out that the "all stops" option just wasn't that much of a hassle.
The train's brilliant. Is there any other city where you can travel such a distance from the airport for so little cost?
try K L from airport to city centre !!

why have you NOT GOOGLED this question....there has been a rail link to Phaya Thai bts station for a long time

I seem to remember some years ago they moved many people from swampy to DM to ease congestion at DM
They should have enough people trained for both airports !!
