I would first consult to owner to confirm that they have your deposit. If so, then draw up a simple lease and sign directly with landlord. If not, then you have a problem as agent will want to see empty, clean condo before returning your deposit.

The simplest and fastest solution would be to send all the cops out with a mandate to fine every offender 500 baht, on the spot, no receipt required! I mean every offender including baht buses that don't pull to the left and block traffic, motorcyclists who don't wear helmets, people who run lights and break every other rule. They would return to the PS at the end of the shift with about a quarter million in cash each day (assuming 500 fines per shift), making EVERYBODY happy including us, due to permanent resolution of all these traffic problems in about a week, I would guess!

I see no crime, or anything wrong done by the girl at all. She slept with a guy twice her age intending to marry him, he paid her tuition as dowry, and was told the balance was to be paid on the wedding day (probably the cost of the wedding). She moved in with him, and lived with him as husband/wife awaiting the wedding day. He started to object to her wearing skimpy outfits (idiot) and then like a crybaby, he goes running to her parents, which made the girl furious and call the marriage off. IMO, totally his fault, and he has NO reason to demand any money back at all!

I buy mine at large roadside markets where they sell all manner of meats and vegetables, fruits etc. You have to mention the Thai name: Look Gra Wan or Look Gar Wan. It also helps if you can show them a picture or two on your mobile. Real cheap, about 15-20 baht for a small packet. Sometimes comes with leaves which I don't know what to do with, so I discard.

Every branch of every bank has different rules and policies! Just take a fair amount of cash and your passport, and keep walking in to banks to open an account. By the end of the day, you will have at least a couple of accounts opened, I'm pretty sure!

Having driven in at least 10 countries, one unwritten rule has been ingrained into my mind, the larger vehicle is not to be messed with! For a bike rider (who was, by the way, driving in the right "fast" lane obviously slower than the taxi who overtook him) to engage in a "heated argument" with a car (the bigger vehicle) was unwise, IMO. Not to say that sticks and knives should be used in any type of confrontation, but if you're smaller, accept the lesson, stay off the fast lane, and don't pick fights with guys bigger than you.

Somebody please explain why, in the US, the people can vote with a majority for a Presidential candidate, but that candidate can lose, through something called "electoral congress" or some such thing. Not much different from Thailand, innit, where a majority win by the popular people's vote is summarily dismissed and someone else gets to lead the country!

I would bet that the per capita consumption of pork in Thailand is one of the highest in the world.

To those who say Israeli's are dumb to allow terrorists to propogate next door through stupidity, I say, learn Chess. You need to think through many, many moves way ahead. There are many people who say (and can prove) that they were fully aware of the massacre of some 1200 Israeli's that took place, way before it did. They did nothing to stop it, because it gave them a viable "reason" to eliminate Palestine. They do not have enough land, nor enough sea ports. They are playing the long game, my friends, they are not stupid.

A little off-topic, but fascinating! While in Sri Lanka, I met a "tea taster". Real high salary, and his only job was to taste the tea after harvesting! He needed to blend the right harvested teas together, to produce the exact taste(s) that various brands wanted / required. Obviously had to give up a lot, super spicy foods, (or any food before his work shift) not much alcohol, etc. etc. But he gets to drive a new mercedes in a fairly poor country.....

Well, the dude was in the right place, with the right facial features! We all know exactly how corrupt our neighbors are, Laos etc. I would have gone there first, got an id off a homeless or very poor man who never had a passport. Gone to the passport office with said id, and perhaps an interpreter because I am of-course, deaf/mute. Got said passport in homeless man's name, but my picture, of-course. Flown to one of the south american countries (islands) that sell passports with very little questions asked. Transferring the money would be another topic, but not difficult, with new id. Voila! Long island ice teas on the beach surrounded by golden skinned beauties! But, perhaps I watch too much TV........

Never fails to amaze, how a criminal who stole over 6 million USD ends up sleeping in a dingy hotel room in Thailand, instead of sipping margheritas on a beach in the Cayman Islands with a new passport issued from one of those south american countries for a few hundred thousand dollars.

Mind blown by Israel's retaliatory attack on Iran, targeting only a few military missile sites that were defending some of their prized and most valuable oilfields, gas fields, etc. sending a very clear warning, that if we can attack these sites defending these financially invaluable sites, we can also ruin your country financially by attacking the actual targets you were trying to defend! I have always wondered about the IQ of the Jewish people, from starting banking generations ago when there was no such thing, now basically running the US banking system, and also the high percentage of Chess champions (almost a third are of Jewish ancestry). I know from friends I have had, they are smart, extremely so, when it comes to money!

With any addiction, tapering off is the way to go. But it takes a lot of awareness, and effort, to do it. Keep track of when you take the pills, start by reducing intake by 10-20% per day, in about a week, you will be down to negligible amounts, when you can stop completely without any ill effects. BTW the same goes for alcohol.
