  1. As there is not even any basic policing in Thailand, when was the last time you saw officers on patrol, the continual PR exercises just show the limits of their cranium capacity. As in other forms of Thai life, it's a case of we've always done it this way, why change.
  2. 4.05 baht per unit is the standard price. My last 2 months bills were almost half my normal amount because of government discounts, re covid. This month's bill is back to normal.
  3. A pink ID card at my Amphur is currently 200 baht, if you already hold a yellow book. No lawyers required, just your passport in addition to the yellow book. The lady in charge fills in the Thai form, in Thai on your behalf, wife required for translation.
  4. I hope that once the current Muppets are out of power, investigations are also launched and prosecutions follow because of their corrupt practices and failures. Needless to say new unbiased NACC members who are not beholden to the army will be required. These witch-hunts are just for political gratification, live by the sword, die by the sword.
  5. Another Muppet who wants to get his name in the news, who will deny everything just like Too and Nut have been recently about October 1st.
  6. I also got a Pfizer jab today, in Roi Et province next one due on the 7th October. I was originally down for a Sinovac/AZ combo starting next week but my wife said I could get a Pfizer if I went to the local hospital this afternoon,.
  7. Well if the Thais weren't so lazy and the employers so greedy, by paying low wages, there wouldn't be any migrant workers here to blame. As usual the local Thais can't be blamed as they obviously don't catch and spread the virus.
  8. As most people, other than the zero dollar chinese, come specifically for the nightlife, by which I mean bars, GG bars etc. If they remain closed it will be a non starter.
  9. More mumbo jumbo drivel inline with all the previous garbage that attracted no one.
  10. Wonderful Thai bureaucracy at its very best, especially the bit about filling in all the forms on behalf of residents. In reality this would happen in a small village as many older folk are semi illiterate at best. My wife completes many official papers on behalf of her elderly aunts.
  11. Only 17000 deaths, I bet the families of the 17000 passed souls will not consider their dearly departed as, only's. The usual arrogance from a hi-so.
  12. As usual a Thai driver flees the scene of an accident, this time a member of the police. Which is illegal. No wonder the general public do the same when they see this example of police behaviour. TiT
  13. Why would you want double the trouble, hassle, beats me.
  14. The same as I did pre covid with the exception of travel abroad and to place like Pattaya, Udon etc as the bars are closed.
  15. They are already talking about vaccine passports here for domestic travel and to dine in at restaurants, I suspect bars etc will be the same. I don't think you will be able to travel here without being vaccinated.
  16. Except that the vast majority of people working on Thai public holidays are not Thais but the 3 million or so migrant workers. And don't forget that since the coup more holidays have been added to keep the bloated bureaucrats happy.
  17. I doubt it, as he was elected as convicted drug smuggler, one assumes the voters don't care a monkeys aunt.
  18. He is already legally married and you cannot, as far as I know, be legally married twice to the same person, in most countries around the world including Thailand.
  19. In the depths of Isaan it's possible to get a discreet beer with your meal.
