    Or staying in? I currently plan to spend zilch during the 1-week Songkran in Pattaya. Having poured cold Khlong water over me, or smeared talcum-powder paste into my ears is not my thing, sorry.

    Theoretically, unlimited times by air. Same as for extensions. However, at some point the IO at the airport might decide that you 'come too often, or stay too long in Thailand'. Arriving 6 times visa-free in a row, and being admitted would be lucky, unless there are longer times out of the country in between.

    Good to see how honest some people are. But yes, badly written article, as there are clearly only a few 1,000-baht banknotes in the pic. No way, they would not show off all 76 or more notes...

    One forgotten entry stamp is a mistake, but two (or more) from the same flight (?) is incompetence.

    Not to mention, shooting themselves into the foot. Those two Dutch tourists will tell their friends and relatives that they were locked up and treated like criminals, which may cost Thailand dozens of future tourists, and loss of tourism income, esp. for small businesses in Thailand.

    I can think of other motives too, e.g. an affair. (Not suggesting that they had one.)

    Interesting. If one or both are still in Thailand and not deported, probably they are correct. Still, having the right visa (stamp) is the responsibility of the traveller, even if one IO 'forgot' to stamp some passports of a flight from the Netherlands.

    True. I travelled to Darwin, Alice Springs, Cairns, etc., where temperatures were higher than in Thailand, and the sunshine more intense. - Still it was pleasant to me. Then, coming back to Asia, I could barely stand the humidity and heat in KL and Bangkok, even though the temperature was lower...

    They are not zero dollar tours, but all-inclusive tours, paid in yuan in China. (Almost cashless in Thailand...)

    Sounds like a lot. What kind of coin box; of the business, or for charity? If the latter, perhaps it had some 50s and 20s in it.

    True. Mandarin and Hindi being native tongues for many is irrelevant, as neither language is widely used around the world.

    Are you trying to do this at the Bangkok Bank subsiduary in the U.S.? Mind you, Bangkok Bank in the U.S. will, most likely, not do such account change for Bangkok Bank in Thailand.

    Counting the new (?) police boxes along the promenade might be helpful too. As for the 'girls', the ladyboys have been near Walking Street like forever. The women mostly look plump, with few cuties in between. Can't be bothered to approach them, as I expect 'rush rush service at moon prices'...
