Yes no problem. I at one point had 400k in an FD account and 400k in a savings account. Both accounts same bank. Each extension never an issue for bank letter etc. In fact bank letter listed both accounts.. My thinking at the time was instant access to some cash if emergency arose.

OP, good advice above especially if he does not have a Thai bank account in his name only. Passport country? He may be able to obtain the non O retirement using eVisa.

At Jomitien they were playing a game for application for non O from visa exempt stamp requiring funds in the bank for 2 months. In any event seems your funds have been in bank for some time so not an issue Non O based on retirement or marriage

Probably my poor wording. Even if married it takes time for spouse to have access to the 800k. Even moreso if not married Would require WILL etc. I already transfer 120k per month so if immigration accepts my the 12 months of transfers then I no longer require the 800k in bank. And no money locked up. Regarding agents...some agents send the passport "up country" for stamps. The one I chatted with does not. I can also get the process done at CW it's just more expensive.

Those transfers will be fine even if not coded as international transfers. The bank can provide credit advice. Chat with your bank.

Understandable. However having option of Jomitien then agent option very simplified. BTW: Stamps issued Jomitien immigration. I am also in process of gathering up 12 month of transfers and also maintaining the funds in bank method. I also do not receive a pension or social security etc. I set up an income stream from my superannuation fund. Hopefully CW immigration will accept the 12 transfers for my next extension. If not I continue with the funds in the bank.

That is extensions dependant on being over 50 years. The OP has not stated age.

Seems his immigration office is not happy that his funds are not coming from a pension. Income method for him maybe problematic

If understanding you correctly, then yes you could enter visa exempt and obtain a non O retirement placing 800k in bank then NOT applying for 12 months extension. Wash and repeat. Since you are not married to a Thai there is no other extension from the non O other than the 12 months. I can imagine immigration not being Happy. This is not a new plan has been suggested previously. If the financials is the issue consider an agent

Yes From a tourist visa or visa exempt you can obtain a non O at local immigration office and in last 30 days apply for 12 months extension. As your 65k transfers are not from a pension you need to check with your immigration office their specific requirements in this regard. If visa exempt remain at 60 days not much point of a tourist visa. Also limit of 2 visa exempt via land borders has been removed.

That's incorrect. Also for application for non O retirement in Thailand the funds must be shown to have come back from abroad, there is an exception. If the funds have been in Thai bank account in your name only for "some time" then proof of international transfer can be waived. Note: for ongoing extensions the funds do not require international transfer if using money in bank method. Using income method then international transfer proof is required Late Edit: here is a cut/paste from ubonjoe...... "Immigration will normally waive the requirement for proof it came from abroad if the 800k baht has been in the bank for a long time already."

Most likely not. Not sure which immigration office you deal with however CW like the mail option posted 15 days prior to due date.

So tired of nonsense. My COR without TM30 or TM47 was at CW in 2022. And yes he should have a TM30.
