  1. Have a chat with ThaiVisaCentre. They are Bangkok based but assist with CM. If you meet the financials then why not DIY. The discount agents offer for financial compliance are not significant
  2. Which immigration office. "Usual 2k baht" sounds like bar stool. Why did you pay it
  3. Definitely occurs at many offices. "Sir you can get in 2 weeks or have now 500b " You gotta love this joint. My Thai partner always replies.... "What you problem. You get what you pay for"
  4. It won't be two weeks from CW. Most often 5 days. And no there is no express service option at CW with extra baht payment.
  5. And I suggested an agent to contact to discuss service. Here again @ThaiVisaCentre In any event despite what has been possible with work permits, pink cards etc in the past re TDL ... Seems transport offices especially in Bangkok requiring a COR. Nothing warrior about it. Just facts.
  6. So apart every 5 years for a TDL renewal you would hardly need one. As pointed out above, 200b for COR to be mailed out after atte ding immigration hardly serious issue. Give @ThaiVisaCetre a call to inquire service.
  7. Couple of off topic posts regarding legality of agents removed.
  8. Don't follow your advice for using money in bank method. Immigration at very least will want photocopies of all pages of bank book back to the two months prior to last extension. Some offices will even require a 12 month bank statement. This especially if you use a dedicated bank account and possibly have a month with zero activity. The bank letter and bank statement are valid for 7 days. Note some offices may want a TM30 even if you have a lease. For income method make sure the transfers are shown to be international. Credit Advice may be required.
  9. Sorta... However if you are in the 7 months where the funds cannot be below 800k then it's of little use. Suggest most folk would have access to "emergency funds" from their home country. I just regard funds locked in a Thai Bank as "opportunity Cost" and not attractive option.
  10. At a guess could be that his embassy is no longer providing income letter. Couple of countries have recently stopped. eg Canada. I'm doing the opposite and changing from money in bank to income. No brainer IMO.
  11. No. Be aware, to season the 800k for two months prior to application.
  12. Just one person's opinion. Bring your tooth brush and that's about it. If you have some real personal stuff such as photos etc then bring as excess baggage on your flight.
  13. You will be fine. After you are back in Thailand please give a report of what occured. Good luck.
  14. As an afterthought. No idea flights/routes from Africa to Bangkok. Just be aware that the airline at departure may require onward if flying visa exempt to Thailand.
  15. You can obtain a Non O marriage at UT immigration. If there is an issue from UT go to Vientiane and obtain eVisa. Issued VERY quickly You would use a TM87 form along with other requirements such as financials etc. The e-Visa platform is pretty much worldwide now. With German pp visa exempt entry currently 60 days. If you explain your intention to obtain Non O marriage in Thailand then that should be sufficient. Try the eVisa path.
  16. Your permission of stay expired. By "renew my Non O" you really mean obtain a new Non O. That can be done via visa exempt entry or obtaining e-Visa from where you are currently. You mention West Africa. If eVisa not possible suggest you just enter Thailand visa exempt. Explain circumstances if questioned. Wife's id copy marriage handy. Should not be required.
  17. Your personal choice may not be what the OP has in mind. In addition visa exempt providing 60 days may not be ongoing. Comments re taxation etc is how You perceive things.
  18. I added link to my first post. Here is another. https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/dtv-visa-thailand# Mind you thinking Non Of retirement + annual 12 month extensions best option. In fact suggest you obtain the Non O in home country. Enter Thailand and receive 90 day stamp. If you have a good vibe then transfer 800k baht in anticipation of obtaining a 12 month extension. If things change you have not backed yourself into a corner. You can scrap the plan at any time.
  19. From the other questions in your post you seem very unaware of Thailand. Non O is not based on retirement it's based on being 50+ years old. Do you have a Thai bank account. Again.. Very little research. "Digital Nomad" is one option. Soft power option are available. Many sites provided information https://dtv.in.th/th If visa exempt remains at 60 days there is not much value in a SETV. Also you can only extend visa exempt and SETV once by 30days. So yes you would need a border run. Honestly seems you have never been to Thailand and having a 6 month visit to see if it's an option for ongoing living.
  20. Hearing from who re Maneerat. First hand report would be useful.
  21. You just entered on SETV and asking about photo for 30 day extension. Immigration will not be interested. Note: anyone needing photo at CW, the stall located L1. Four photos 100b.
