  1. You can enter visa exempt to Thailand and obtain a non O retirement at your local immigration office. OR obtain a non O retirement at a Thai consulate. Which immigration office allowed the first extension to be made based on retirement.
  2. Most likely not. The first extension from a non O should be based what the non O was. In your case on marriage. Subsequent extensions can be based on retirement
  3. Cannot advise. You either have a valid non O-A or on extensions or whatever. How can you post "I think"
  4. You are trolling the thread. Please refrain. Recent reports of Nong Khai same day exit reentry. @Pattaya57 post correct
  5. Won't remove you post. The point is post first hand report or post nothing
  6. Another long post focussing on taxation is Removed. Read the OP. It's clear.
  7. What reason you attended immigration? If it's eg 30 day extension then you required printout of TM30 from where you are staying. Phone pic never cuts it.
  8. Most likely the OP has 12 month extensions from a non O-A. Annual extensions require insurance. This would be almost worst option.
  9. OP asked about visa options to stay 50/50 in Thailand. Posts regarding tax considerations will be removed. Several threads dedicated to tax
  10. Correct answers above. Added note: if obtaining a TDL both car and bike then just tick car. Transport office will accept the COR and a photo copy for bike licience. Important to provide most recent TM47 receipt. Added tip for CW...if your 90 day report window is open you can make an appointment for report and the same desk will process for the report and also COR. Show both applications to far right que counter There are no appointments for COR. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  11. Putting temporary lock on this thread. Find it offensive even by pub forum threshold. Another mod welcome to re open.
  12. Indeed. My last two extensions at CW the TM47 receipt was required. For the 10 extensions prior to that never was required. TM30 was not asked for..
  13. Any onward ticket within the 60 days is fine. Return ticket not required. Check out "onwardticket.com" as an option or buy cheapest throw away flight. You should not have a problem with immigration upon arrival.
  14. In the past 12 months I have attended CW for the following at various dates. COR Annual extension (retirement) Transfer of stamps to new pp. 90 day report in person Several trips out of Thailand and reentry with a reentry permit. Never asked for a TM30
  15. Bit surprised. Your previous posts indicate frequent stays in Thailand using visa exempt entry. Only current entry from a non O retirement. So indeed...many over 50,s do use visa exempt entry for several months each year visits to Thailand
  16. From the OP.... "50/50 or there abouts) between Thailand and their home country" Cambodia is not in the equation.
  17. You best to indicate if it's 6 in 6 out as a block or collective. Also where based in Thailand
  18. OP, mention immigration office for best advice. Some first hand reports in attached thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1309484-filing-a-first-time-tm30-when-you-own-and-live-in-a-condo-what-documents-are-needed-exactly/
  19. If you decide to visit for short stay with return ticket that should not be an issue. For next return after that you can obtain eVisa non O in UK or enter visa exempt and obtain non O at local immigration office. If you do not have a Thai bank account in your name only then obtaining non O retirement in UK better option.
  20. OP, you should be ok to return to Thailand visa exempt especially with proof of return flight. Have had copy print out. You mention AO.... Do you mean a non O-A? That you would obtain in UK? Not good option Edit: you state ...." I'm tempted to fly back this month (probably the 17th) for two weeks or 10 days to help with the move" You serious. One of the many things I find amazing about Thailand is that you can any level of assistance from services here. Stay in UK and send folding to help with move.
