  1. Or you can file TM47 via mail and do that ongoing avoiding problematic online reporting.
  2. Interesting. I'm in a defacto and to avoid the up creek scenario I'm currently changing from funds in bank for extension retirement to income method. I transfer 120k every month and goes straight out and into partner account. In other words when I'm eventually on income method there will never be funds in my account. Only outlining detail for others as access to the farang partner/husband can prove to be difficult.
  3. Trolling post removed along with repeat of post.
  4. Can we move on from signing pages. Irrelevant.
  5. He can do that for second extension showing 12 months of monthly transfers using the 65k. That would be a modest amount for himself and wife to live on. As you point out avoids locking up funds in bank (useless)
  6. From pinned thread 2019 listing requirements "7. Include an original doctor’s letter from a hospital. Thai Inter provides them in 15 mins @THB 250." I haven't read and recent reference to need for it..
  7. Kasikorn will accept a 100b deposit for savings account. Would seem you have an FD account. For that account the minimum deposit is 1000 baht
  8. The OP is from the UK. That embassy does not provide income letter. Nor does UK and AU
  9. I'm focusing on the OP. He is from UK. No income letter available. His income is from rents. At this point in time he does not even have a Thai bank account. The only way he can use income method for his first extension is to show 12 months transfers of 40k/65k
  10. Good idea. I did 10 extensions at CW and never required 12 month bank statement. Last year io demanded one. Apparently the bank book showed couple of months with zero transactions (activities) I'm providing statement for next extension
  11. Yes. Some refer to it as Statutory Declaration (AU) Some Affidavit etc. The point is that some embassies no longer provide this "letter" The alternative is to obtain a COR (certificate of residence) from your immigration office. The catch 22 is that in Bangkok you need to have done a 90 day report to obtain COR. Not possible on a tourist visa or visa exempt. Seems that your embassy provided letter. Think OP is applying for Non O in Korat. He may be able to obtain a COR there with a TM30. Good option would be to obtain his non O in UK. With a non O stamp should be able to open bank account
  12. Wife needs to attend for all extensions even 60 day extension to visit wife. Also attends if change from annual extension based on marriage to retirement
  13. OP, surprised 12 month bank statement required however seems more immigration offices wanting to see that and not just bank book pages photocopies. TM6 won't be requested. At CW I don't supply a TM30 rather just a lease however what you list covers all possibilities.. Also map of where you live.
  14. Initially Thai immigration wanted the embassies to "verify" the income. Of course that would be difficult. Apart from that....the AU (to name one) was simply endorsing a "statutory declaration" I asked a senior Oz lady at AU embassy Bangkok about this. Her reply for what it's worth... "We never should have been supplying the SD" Explained that the statutory declarations are only valid for use in Australia. Just relating what I was told. Could be nonsense..
  15. Absolutely not necessary to obtain a non O retirement from visa exempt or tourist visa entry. You are living in Thailand with annual extensions. Very simple process. Your friend initially had a Non O-A visa and that along with extensions requires insurance. He could kill off his Non O-A and do as you did in obtaining a Non O at his local immigration office.. UK, USA, AU do not supply embassy "letter" Siam Legal are currently not assisting with opening bank accounts..
  16. First up .. Q1 what is your status in Thailand. .meaning tourist visa or ....? Q2 where are you located?
  17. The yellow book etc would not cut in other places eg Bangkok. However you got your 5 yr license congratulations
  18. For heavens sake. Surely you can stay few days short of 180 days with alternative flight. As posted by others the assumption from your OP would be concern with one day overstay.
  19. Which transport office?
  20. You replied to Rant post. Of course requirements for extensions marriage are more involved than retirement. However most seem comfortable with it.
  21. OP, thanks for report. Can you post detail of what docs you supplied. In particular did you obtain certificate of residence.
  22. Previously you could obtain equivalent from embassy. Most still can however the same countries that stopped income letters (UK, USA AU) also stopped endorsement of address. Without TM47 CW will not issue COR. That is why if using plan is to open bank account in Bangkok then best option is to enter Thailand with a Non O
  23. Regardless of some posts .... You will need to use funds in bank method for your first extension be that based on marriage or retirement. If you wish to use income method for second extension then you need to start monthly transfers as soon as you have a Thai bank account. In that way you will be able to show 12 monthly transfers with bank statement for 2nd extension 40k for marriage v 65k for marriage. In reality if you opt for extension based on marriage the 400k for 2 months prior to application+ under consideration period is a sweet deal as with final stamp you can use funds as you wish. Unlike extension retirement.
