  1. Extra time would be minimal Obviously the friend would be well advised to get to airport early. I would suggest your thread is asking silly question. I had an international flight out of Thailand this Wednesday. Arrived airport 4 hours prior. Could not see lot of difference between waiting in my condo or a beer and chit chat at airport.
  2. Google "IDC Bangkok" select "images" .... "Work it off"...that's sorta funny
  3. OP, perhaps I missed it but... best to indicate what type of assets you wish to make a will for and if it's to a Thai person or someone in another country.
  4. You often post reasonable posts. In this thread you have been ridiculous. Stick to addressing the OP question When was the last time you were pulled up and required to produce pp. In 10 years zero for me. Typing like a newbie.
  5. Not at all and a very good idea. I never take my pp out. I do have a photocopy of my ID page on cell and that would suffice. The OP is trying to get to airport that's it. Claiming to not have pp on him would avoid the issue.
  6. It would mean spending weekend there but i would regard that a nice change of scenery.
  7. If prepared to spend weekend in Savannakhet most likely Friday would be good option.
  8. Just another useless comment from you. I had couple of reasons one being reentry permit and another meeting someone. BTW for others the reentry permit desk at DMK Wednesday que was 20. I was only person with filled in TM8. 18 of the 20 were not farang all using 200b immigration service.
  9. That "upgraded" it.. This will work for CW. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  10. The issue of overstay only occurs at immigration (passport control) Some airlines have a check in window to issue boarding pass. Depends on the flight. This Wednesday I was able to obtain boarding pass (DMK to Saigon) 4 hours prior to departure. That's not always the case.
  11. Nup... There would have been another reason other than overstay.
  12. That's a good thinking. If the guy can make it to Bangkok and assume flying out of BKK then rail link to airport would be my suggestion.
  13. OP, your friend will receive a ONE year ban and fine of 20,000b. More than 12 month would result in 3 year ban. Nothing untoward will occur. Not a lot of extra time required. Obviously needs to keep head down getting to airport
  14. Indeed. I'm currently in Saigon and last night chatting with a Oz guy. He is flying to Bangkok today visa exempt. I told him that almost a certainty he will be asked for onward flight. Didn't bother to tell him about "onward.ticket.com" option. We went through booking process which took all of 2 minutes and since he has vn WiFi he could step away from counter to book throw away ticket. 1500b
  15. Try that from nearby countries without visa...and low cost airlines eg AirAsia eg Saigon to Bangkok
  16. Folk need to apply with at least 2 weeks remaining on permission of stay if obtaining Non O at immigration.. For your extension you can apply anytime. Most apply up to 30 days early in case there is an issue.
  17. Don't understand. Your non O visa will have a validity period to enter Thailand. If you enter Thailand in that period you will be given a 90 day permission of stay. In the last 30 days apply for extension with the 800k having been in bank for 2 months +
  18. Dates don't matter. Provide your own TM8 with photo and that's it. Or opt to have immigration do the process for 200b. Did one last Wednesday.
  19. 2 months prior Obviously you have a Thai bank account in your name only?
  20. Have you considered 'mail option' Is the landlord prepared to provide you with anything such as copy blue book and signed ID card
  21. No. Perhaps in your immigration office but no so at places such as CW
  22. You had a Non O-A. For every annual extension of you "permission of stay" you require insurance. As a result many folk have killed off their Non O-A and subsequently obtained a Non O based on retirement. (no insurance requirement) If someone has a Non O-A and married to a Thai they can obtain extensions based on marriage and no insurance requirement.
  23. First up I over reacted with my previous post as it didn't take nearly as long I would have imagined. It's just that there were approx 15 and in my many had never seen que like that. It was ALL reentry permits. The overstay desk guy was doing step one and sliding the pp,s to reentry. Interestingly not one had prepared the TM8 and we're paying 200b for io to prepare form. From when I walked into airport I was given boarding card and airside with reentry permit not much over one hour.
  24. You will not be able to obtain a certificate of residence in Bangkok as it requires a 90 day report receipt (TM47)
