  1. You seem to indicate later that you make the deposit day prior to attending immigration. At CW they would want the bankbook update on day of application. Pretty irrelevant for the OP who uses CW. Even with appointment, (btw run like clockwork) there is no Ten minute option.
  2. First up the OP did not necessarily mean access to bank funds in event of passing. Could be just access for medical care. As for wife access to bank account in the event of passing that's not as straight forward as some may imagine. Discussed often marriage divorce forum https://aseannow.com/topic/1317531-800000-baht-account-after-i-die-can-the-partner-access-the-account/
  3. One suggestion: When you are in the 400k minimum time zone transfer 400k into savings account. Short time after trasfer the other 400k. BTW if you cancel the FD account do not surrender the bank book to bank. Immigration will want bank letter the bank books for next extension and may want bank statements.
  4. First up your post is a good summary. With a Non O 90 day stamp you will be able to open a bank account. Some banks may be fussy and also ask for COR or address letter from embassy. However some embassies do not provide that service. Back in the day when CW required you to have made a TM47 in order to obtain a COR, I had trouble opening bank account with BBL. I has existing savings account with another bank and on extensions from a Non O retirement. BBL said no go without the COR. I subsequently opened account with Kasikorn. It was the Non O they wanted. Think I provided lease but don't recall it being a big deal. Suggest if anyone (in current climate) has the option to obtain the Non O prior to entering Thailand then that's best option. Even if you already have a bank account.
  5. The OP was not asking about border run service. He is asking about "safe entry airport" The agent will advise him of cost and option. There will not be a waiting period. He can return after organising with agent. Here is one. https://www.facebook.com/share/1V4UMpb27x/
  6. If you opt for border bounce for 60 chat with this mob re you past Ed visas. https://www.facebook.com/share/1V4UMpb27x/
  7. Where are you located. Another option is to spend couple of days Laos and apply for Non O marriage e-Visa at eg Vientiane. Recent thread guy got the eVisa basically overnight. Saves messing about with Thai immigration office for the Non O Edit: from your other threads did you just recently. If so then another good reason to obtain the Non O outside of Thailand. Seems you live in Bangkok. You have option of fly to u don't thani for eVisa Vientiane OR Border bounce from Bangkok to Cambodia using minivan agent company. The agent will advise you of any concerns re border bounce
  8. That's very truel, however fortunately there is often a work around as eg accomm requirement then cancel bookings. All through mob such as Agoda.
  9. So your permission of stay expires June 20. You could buy a 30 day extension. Still would be tight depending on her return date. Most immigration offices require 15 remaining to apply for Non Of. Some eg CW require 21. Plan B is go do border bounce for anther 60 days. Best safe option. Where are you located
  10. You friend did not have an additional bank account? Obviously not as you can use two accounts if one accidentally falls below 800/400.
  11. As per previous posts. The photocopies of bank book pages is generally sufficient. However lot of people use a dedicated bank account for immigration. If there is a month with no activity then immigration may well ask for 12 month statement.
  12. When does she leave. Apply for 60 day extension "to visit wife" The 60 will be added to current stamp date. She needs to attend
  13. Yes that was a whoopie. BTW which DTV did you opt for. Digital nomad or soft power etc. Where did you obtain it. Some would be interested. Seems great option
  14. This is not being pedantic.. A Non O gives you a 90 day stamp. It's a single entry visa.. Best to think of it as dead and gone after the stamp is in passport. At that point you have a permission of stay. That can be extended every year. You are NOT extending the visa. A reentry permit simple allows you to exit and reenter Thailand. "Protects" Your permission of stay. The Non O and subsequent extensions do NOT require insurance. A Non O-A is different animal. It's a visa valid for 12 months and is multi entry.. It requires insurance and extensions from it also require insurance..
  15. Please state the rules you keep referring to. It's a simple question. Actually don't bother as there are none. It was a rhetorical question.
  16. You used agent for hand holding. You satisfied the requirements. That's a good option. The OP did not meet financial requirements. Needs an agent. Apples and oranges.
  17. Sorta funny. Here are snippets of your posts... " Save it for the immigration officers who uphold the rules , its not me who makes the rules or enforces them " What rules are they upholding.
  18. You stated this in reply to "rules" Where is rule "you can spend three months in Thailand as a tourist" You are making up nonsense. There are no stated rules. By all means Thailand please produce written rules.
  19. That hasn't happened as yet. Best put that on a watch.
  20. At some point please post "the rules" That's the whole problem. There are no rules. Very easy to make rules. example previously there was clear rule of limit of two visa exempt entries via land/sea per calendar year. In recent times that rule was removed. So pray tell what are the rules?
  21. You are best to obtain the Non O retirement outside of Thailand (eVisa) In Jomtien there are excellent agents if that's your plan.
  22. OP, if you are flying visa exempt the airline at departure may want to see. Your return flight. You need to fill in TDAC. Link posted above. You do that up to 3 days prior to entering Thailand. Your last visit was 2 years ago. You won't be asked anything.
  23. Nong Khai might get busy. Hope things have improved since this NK specific thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1347328-nong-khai-border-bounce-avoid/
  24. You mean have 800k to pay for the one year permission of stay with money you cannot use. Brilliant
