  1. Seems that you can request the statement in Thai. Indeed I just asked the gf to read what upnotover posted. She replied... "Money from overseas"
  2. OP, you have a comprehensive list of questions. Just one to you first.... Given that the funds in bank method for marriage is only 400k and after receiving extension stamp the funds can be used, is income method the option you wish to use.
  3. I recall an interesting post some time ago on this matter. A person posted that if you request your 12 month bank statement in Thai then the notation with the deposits translate as international transaction. At the time I thought it was a wind up. Perhaps it wasn't.
  4. Indeed... Previously CW required you to have done a TM47 with that office in order to obtain a COR. That was recently changed and having done a 90 report no longer required to obtain COR
  5. This attached thread is transport office you mentioned. As far as I'm aware they are only transport office in Bangkok that allows TDL renewal with yellow book/pink card.
  6. Not interested Specifically about CM. If transport office accepts pink card for TDL renewal then fine. Some will require a COR. BTW when was last time you renewed you TDL in CM. What did you provide the transport office?
  7. You need it to obtain TDL. Previously pink ID card was sufficient. Many transport offices now insist on COR. Some still accept the card See post from @richard_smith237 Most transport offices in Bangkok require COR. Some banks ask for COR to open a bank account.. Some banks will accept a Non O.
  8. Yes the financial requirements for extensions retirement have been outlined. Many folk have two accounts. One a dedicated "account for immigration" and another for day to day banking. Additionally some folk with the dedicated account just leave balance at 800k+ all year round. The OP will opt for what best suits him.
  9. You are worrying about nothing. 6 months since last visa exempt entry then zero issue. BTW the travel agent wouldn't have a clue regarding if/when visa exempt may change back to 30 days.
  10. Not sure why you do that. The person that does the letter can also accept eg 100b deposit. She will also photocopy the last page of the bank book to show update and activity. So hand her 100 for deposit and 100 for Letter. Job done. I now obtain the 12 month bank statement and letter day or two prior as bank can be busy for Letter.
  11. As previously mentioned ... an e-Visa can be obtained relatively quickly. There have been couple of articles about consideration of reverting back to 30days. Most likely there would be advanced notice of any change. Finally tourist numbers are well down (Chinese) so doubt they will change it any time soon. The 30 day visa exempt and tourist visa stamps can be extended by 30 days.
  12. It's not simple seeking advice. Doubt the io doing your COR can assist. Cutting to basics, what you really want to know is will there be home visit during under consideration period. The head io in the extension L desks could assist. She sits at the rear of (think) L34. BTW: if you made an appointment for the COR make sure you print out your appointment (hard copy) You go to far right desk for #. You are seen straight away.
  13. That was my guess. As pointed out earlier by @rwilem you have flexible choices given no need to be in Thailand during under consideration period. Whatever you opt for be aware you require a reentry permit for period you exit Thailand. The under consideration period at CW generally a month. True can be less. Discuss with immigration.
  14. OP, first up some good advice above. In regards to home visit ...has this been the practice in previous extensions?
  15. Yes appointments are tight at CW for extension appointments. Currently only 3 slots available during next month. With no appointment it's not a disaster. I see you used WISE with smooth transfer. Note: Make sure that your aware of other requirements for the bank side of things. "Bank Letter"..….that can be obtained day or two prior if you wish. Update of bankbook on day of application. Best way is to do 100b deposit as this also shows activity.
  16. Noone on the forum would know if/when it reverts back to 30 days. Point is neither would immigration offices.
  17. Don't know what's that about. My last transfer (from Oz) May 14 was under one minute to set up and receive in Thai bank
  18. Previously I would check (compare) various options. This topic is discussed extensively in banking/finance forum. Zillion threads. I just checked WISE vs XE... and the winner is......
  19. As often occurs in Thailand with immigration matters, it depends on immigration office. Many/most offices will just want to see the 12 monthly transfers of min 65k/month. The term retirement is misleading. The criteria is age 50+ and no work in Thailand. Ultimately folk need to check with their immigration office.
  20. The requirements using money in bank method for extensions retirement is 800k for two months prior to application and also 800k for 3 months after application and not below 400k in other months. Interesting. Next month I will transfed 4 mill (real estate) and use WISE. Two transfers. They have competition and XE is an option. Years back I used OFX and I like that company (great customer help via phone) ... However I have found WISE the best option for transfers from Oz.
  21. The appointments for extensions has been busy for some time now.. It's ok for eg TM47 etc
  22. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/ Hit queue online.
  23. I did 125k baht to my Thai bank Thursday 14th. No issue. What point are you trying to make
