  1. Correct along with thread off topic just pro/con use of agents. Thread closed.
  2. You should be able to open bank account at Kasikorn with extension from a non O . BBL may also want certificate of residence. Note that COR if obtained at CW requires you to have made a 90 day report.
  3. What is your status in Thailand. Do you have extensive from a non O or ....
  4. At a guess the OP is not after agent for guidance but most likely required to skip the financial requirements. However apart for starting the thread OP has not contributed
  5. I make appointment for annual extension at CW and it's never done in minutes. Most also do the banking requirements eg bank letter etc on day of application lower level. Reentry permit can be obtained at airport. Don't need to waste couple of hours at CW.. You can also do TM47 via mail.
  6. Despite being advised to stick to the topic, the legality of agents always gets kicked around. Have just removed 3 more posts.
  7. The thread is not about legality of use of agents. Further posts will be removed.
  8. OP, perhaps I missed it howeverw you did not mention departure airport. From most countries a border entry would involve transit airport. Eg KL. You could try onward flight to Thailand. Worst case scenario flown back to departure point at your expense. Why not apply for tourist visa to Thailand and fly direct.
  9. It's not an off limits thing. Your post will assist others in similar circumstances to yourself. The income letter for non O applied for in Thailand does not have clear answer. Best advice is since you are in Thailand visit your local immigration office and discuss options.
  10. Perhaps you missed the OP... "This is for Australian Retirees. Seeing how the Australian Embassy does not provide proof of income, in this case the age pension, how do you prove proof of income for the "Marriage" Visa" The OP is Oz . Posts re embassy letter for income letter are off topic. Advice in future start your own thread to obtain best advice. Entering Thailand with a non O and then subsequent extension using embassy letter would have been best advice for your situation.
  11. Some posts regarding legality of use of agents removed. Off topic
  12. The OP has provided very little information. Asking about an agent would most often be about extensions based on retirement not marriage. A home visit will not be necessary. However there is no indication from OP what service is required
  13. The OP edited post after my question. For folk in Bangkok they have option of Bangkok agents such as ThaiVisaCentre etc. The alternative is to use Pattaya agent that would require annual trip however MUCH cheaper.
  14. That's an option and note non O also available from Vientiane. Note both places now require appointment. If the money in bank is the deal breaker for obtaining a non O inside Thailand from visa exempt entry then be aware that the visa exempt entry is currently 60 days and extended by 30 + if married can obtain further 60 day extension to visit wife. Of course this is to buy time for the non O application. For subsequent extensions you can use your embassy letter to meet the financial requirements. Of course the visa exempt entry + extensions can be repeated with border bounce to buy even more time. Messy but an option
  15. Indeed. I was replying to post dealing with OP situation. Looking at extensions from a non O based on retirement
  16. If applying for non O based on retirement at immigration from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry you would only require the 800k in bank on day of application. It's not a visa renewal but rather a 12 month extension to your permission of stay. Requires 800k maintained in bank for 2 months prior to application and for 3 months after application and not below 400k in the other months. Agents you mentioned in trendy building would be last place I would recommend and nothing like 35k for an agent in places such as Pattaya
  17. Someone might be along to offer different advice. You mentioned "agent" If you opt to use agent they can sidestep the financial requirements. Which immigration office
  18. Correct: ta. Will alter my typo. Adding 89 days to Saturday August 10, 2024 Thursday November 07, 2024
  19. Non O-A often referred to as "retirement visa" is applied for based on retirement. For the first extension of stay the extension would need to be applied for based on retirement. Along with the required insurance. The date of expiry of extension will match expiry of insurance policy. Subsequent extensions can be obtained based on marriage and extensions based on marriage do not require insurance.
  20. Some posts with pictures and off topic along with mentioning posters directly have been removed. Comment on topic.
  21. Might be more convenient however certainly more (much) expensive than extensions via agent in Pattaya. Many folks eg live in Bangkok and use a Pattaya agent for extensions.
