  1. Yes. It's about continuity of your permission of stay That does not mean physical presence in Thailand. The reentry permit "protects" your permission of stay. Of course if you change your address, meaning where you actually live in Thailand then you need to do TM30.(change of address)
  2. Hopefully can sneak in question re CW in this thread... Next Wednesday going to CW for annual extension . Normally have everything. Does anyone know if the print photocopy stall lower level does Photos for the TM7 form. TIA..
  3. Explained in first post of OP of attached thread. Item 2.2 https://aseannow.com/topic/1169664-thai-immigration-announce-changes-to-tm30-reporting/
  4. You don't need to do TM30 for your trips in Thailand and also international trips where you purchase a reentry permit. Rules were changed in June 2020.
  5. What type of visa did you have. Are you doing annual extensions?
  6. Depends which immigration office you deal with.. If it's CM then you need do a TM30. For the vast majority of immigration offices a new TM30 is not required for inter province trips ALSO not required for international travel if returning with same visa or reentry permit.
  7. No to first part and for international travel also not required if returning with reentry permit or same visa.
  8. OP, what sort of extension do you have. You do not need to obtain a TM30 when you return from your holiday.
  9. No. Seems that you are in Bangkok. Obtain your reentry permit at CW any time prior to day of departure. You need TM8 and a photo and few photocopies from pp. Data page etc Yes appointments are available at CW. However think there is currently issue with the new appointment site. Walk in an option.
  10. We all use terms such as "extension based on retirement" In fact you can still work and have non O and subsequent extensions based on retirement. One example is oil gas guys. The important thing is they are not working in Thailand. The main criteria is actually being over 50+
  11. You would need to do TM30 (change of address) . It's inconvenient obtaining your extension. Which immigration office do you deal with?
  12. Clearly you have no idea. There is NEVER ever 40, 65 people. Usually zero. Post with first hand knowledge is a good plan. It's clear you have no experience of what the OP asked about.
  13. You make it sound like trip to immigration office is like going to 7/11. For some it's a half day trip. Did you read the guy you quoted. He stated .... "About a 30 minutes total... to apply and wait. " And that was with "several people in front of him" I have done 10 at DMK and only once was there someone being processed.
  14. Suggest print out front/back on one sheet. OP, don't forget photo.
  15. What on earth is this thread doing in "visas, work permits" forum. Pub forum at best.
  16. Not sure understand what BOSTON has to do with things. The flight for visa application or flying visa exempt does NOT need to be return flight. Any ONWARD flight is fine..
  17. There is actually another level of service. You can use agent to guarantee visa exempt entry. It's not cheap . Approx 8k
  18. For any visa application or entry visa exempt where onward flight is required one option is to actually purchase a flight (cheapest) and not actually use it. Just chuck it. Flights eg Bangkok to Saigon approx 1500b
  19. Not sure what you mean by renewal or visa extension In any event... 90 count starts from day of application for extension in the case of your FIRST extension. For subsequent annual extensions the TM47 has nothing to do with it..
  20. This thread covers lot of points for ME Non O https://aseannow.com/topic/1303919-non-o-visa-and-when-to-start-extension/
  21. Be aware that you can have an FD a/c and a savings a/c with the same bank and the "letter" from bank for extensions lists both accounts. If opting to do that one suggestion is to have 400k+ in the FD As for bank I suggest Kasikorn. They can provide statements (if required) same day. Bangkok Bank do not. Also Kasikorn is one of the 3 banks that do not have low limit for transfers using WISE. If extensions are at CW they have a branch lower level. SCB do not have branch at CW and seem to be closing branches over recent years
  22. Couple of reports that Jomtien were requiring 2 months seasoning to obtain non O . Of course the actual rule is funds required in bank on day of application.
