2025 Pattaya agent retirement extension for newbies
I sent this to couple of folk PM that inquired. So 1640b to use own BBL account.. Personally if dealing with that agent I would let them do the lot. Note: cost of open BBL bank account depends on age over/under 64. Few hundred baht. Screenshot on unrelated debate.

Why choose an e-visa over the 60-day exemption?
Thinking that's the point. Most of the time I suggest it as a backup comfort thing that if airline is demanding onward flight you can step away and obtain ticket instantly. Some folk might even step away and book cheapest throw away "real flight" I once went through a dry run with one of the cheaper agents and found after filling in all fields the price increased. I only type that company name as several reports on AN of it working smoothly. I'm sure the other agents also no issue.

Options to start Non-O again
You mention returned to Thailand via BKK airport. Immigration would have seen all your annual extensions. Did they question your visa exempt entry?

Additional Visa Requirements ?
You don't check that your 90 day report resets. You do that yourself. The window for 90 day report will open 75 days after reentry. Count date of entry day 1. Ignore any message from app to do it earlier. Unfortunately currently since immigration trying to sync TM30 with TM47 you need to do 90 report in person after trip abroad. Previously that wasn't the case. The system is rubbish/broken imo. Personally doing online next Tuesday after having done in person report at CW on Nov 5. If rejected there is no way I will attend CW for report. Yes could do it via mail as that's bullet proof. Added problem with CW is that often you don't get result till after grace period.

Why choose an e-visa over the 60-day exemption?
onwardticket.com is ~16usd. You can opt to buy one on the spot if hassle from airline. Just step aside on book on phone. Obviously requires internet. Read reports that airlines have softened onward flight in that if you can show return flight past the 60 allowing for plan to obtain 30 day extension that's acceptable. Someone might confirm that. Is your return with same airline as departure flight. Aside: visiting twice a year you have no need for tourist eVisa. Especially as exempt and tourist visa provide 60 days. In the future if/when ETA becomes a requirement it will be interesting to see what if any flight details are required.

Why choose an e-visa over the 60-day exemption?
Yes you could obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. So 60+60. Yes and no. Having a tourist eVisa the airline will no ask for onward flight. No you can not apply for extension prior to entering Thailand. Incorrect. ETA has been announced to commence some time in the future. Ignore it for now.

Changing visa while work permit still valid
Correct. Requires a Non immigrant. Think the OP previously had a non O and ran out of time to obtain annual extension.. Bounced for visa exempt stamp (not sure). Cannot work.

Call me old school... I don't mind no stamps in/out of my home country however reentering Thailand I like to see a stamp with my "permitted stay" date.

Can't help. Haven't read about your situation. 30 days is common. What does Lamphun immigration have to say on this situation. What date is on the return to immigration for final stamp?

Guidance please on Non O application from UK
And I pointed out that since the OP will be transferring 800k baht to his Thai bank account as soon as he opens the account His best option is to simply have £18k in his UK bank account for the eVisa application and ready to transfer to Thailand. It's indeed related to plan to obtain extension.

Options to start Non-O again
The OP has already exited and reentered Thailand visa exempt. He does not need to border bounce. If he needed to best option is to use minivan agent company.
-
Additional Visa Requirements ?
Correct.
-
Additional Visa Requirements ?
No need to do anything on departure or return. It's polite to mention to immigration that you have reentry permit. When you return to Thailand and immediately after being stamped in check the stamp correctly states "admitted till" Feb 26. Even when obtaining boarding pass for return flight mention to airline staff you have reentry permit.
-
Additional Visa Requirements ?
What do you have. You stated a Non O. That is a single entry visa that provides a 90 day permission of stay stamp. Did you subsequently obtain a 12 month extension and multiple reentry permit? Perhaps an agent did all this for you.

Transfer stamps from old to new passport: Is an embassy letter required?
Some embassies provide a letter to authorize transfer. Some do not. UK, USA, AU being 3 examples.
-
Options to start Non-O again
No. You do not require a visa to obtain a non O at your local immigration office. You can do that from visa exempt entry. Which you have. You will use a TM87 along with all the supporting docs for marriage. Here is recent thread outlines the process. BTW: Not sure if mentioned in thread but if you require more time to organize funds etc you can obtain 60 day extension to your 60 day visa exempt entry. The 60 extension is based on visit Thai wife.
