  1. That's a bit rich. One of your questions (bit strange) was "does Surat Thani have an immigration office". A simple Google search shows the office web site along with Google maps, even reviews etc. If you had been more engaged with your thread you would have received more helpful information. It's not even clear if the friend is Oz. If that's the case some folk would have pointed out the eVisa including non O based on retirement is now available from AU, etc etc Having a non O would greatly assist opening a Thai bank account if he currently does not have one.
  2. On link posed above scroll down to almost last forum. "Support Forum Desk" Ask for advice there
  3. Surprised. At Bangkok airports don't recall similar wait time. Good advice is allow extra time.
  4. I now see OP previous threads eg... Might help if OP gave full story of current situation. @sarayoot
  5. My understanding is that currently he cannot obtain a multi entry visa based on Thai child from places such as Savannakhet. The best option is a non O + extension, however you indicate that's not an option.
  6. OP, Assume you have joint custody? First reply in this thread has useful links from ubonjoe. https://aseannow.com/topic/1275570-visa-based-on-child/
  7. Indeed. Really a thread about nothing @Jaunty has started similar thread previously. In this current thread has added nothing. No reason to keep this thread going.
  8. Off topic but perhaps useful to Oz folk..... You can now do the whole process via mail. Very simple and my recent renewal took 20 days start to finish.
  9. Here is thread from another forum and notes change of location.
  10. Not a problem Here is cut and paste from ubonjoe post where the OP in that thread was going to be 3-5 days late... "There is good chance your application will not of been approved by the report back date. The under consideration stamp to allows you to stay in the country until your application is approved. The report back date is just that. Being a couple of days late is not a problem at most offices. You should call them to check to see if it has been completed. If your wife had your passport she could go to immigration and get your stamp done."
  11. Trolling posts and replies hidden
  12. Discussed in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1321369-1-year-multiple-entry-based-on-marriage-savannakhet-feb-28th-2024-report/ And here https://aseannow.com/topic/1310170-savannakhet-now-require-bank-statement-400k-for-1-year-multi-visa-non-o-marriage-or-thai-family/
  13. Currently I am planning to switch from money in bank method to income method. Granted my extension based on retirement. My most recent (current) extension I need to maintain money in bank requirements. At the same time from last extension started monthly transfers. For my next extension I can show 12 monthly transfers= forward planning
  14. Very simple answer. It would not work. It requires forward planning to switch from money in bank method to income method
  15. You would require 12 months of transfers. Your previous extension was based on funds in the bank?
  16. Ask your questions in this current ongoing thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/121353-story-of-my-thai-citizenship-application/
  17. https://aseannow.com/topic/1259175-re-entry-permit-documentation/
  18. Borders to Laos are open. As for agent. Here is one thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1214004-chiang-mai-visa-agent/ As for not wishing to fly or bus it you are running out of time Simple Google search shows companies doing border runs from CM
  19. Does not matter if you enter Thailand by air or land/sea border. You would be given 30 day stamp which can be extended by 30. With or without the extension you can apply for non O marriage with 400k in Thai bank account. You would need 21 days remaining on your permission of stay to apply at CM. The process is outlined in the links to threads I posted above. I wouldn't recommend fly out/in same day.
  20. You could consider a border bounce and obtain a non O at your immigration office. That would require 400k in Thai bank account in your name only on day of application. In attached thread posted info for process of obtaining non O in Thailand and links to other threads Bit late to apply for the 60 day extension at CM as you have very few days left and would need TM30 etc
  21. It should not be an issue. Here is old thread but nothing has changed. Note in ubonjoe second post he points out that this extension can be obtained from a tourist visa and even visa exempt entry. Which immigration office is telling you "not possible": https://aseannow.com/topic/1130123-re-60-day-extension-to-visit-your-wife/
  22. Perhaps implies he a "friend" in Surat Thani. So is this for ongoing living/retirement?
  23. How do you enter Thailand meaning visa , visa exempt, extension protected by reentry permit etc ?
  24. You are referring to different situation. I'm tired of positing the link to change of rules in 2020. Read carefully section 2.2. 2.2 After the house holder, owner or possessor of the premise of hotel manager has reported as defined in Article 2.1, the same alien has left the premise and returned for another stay within the valid period, the house holder, owner or possessor of the premise of hotel manager do not need to make another report; The alien as defined in paragraph one shall include those whobeing granted multiple-visa who leaves and returns to the Kingdom with specified time in the visa, and those with re-entry permit.
