  1. OP, you possibly will use Jetstar. They will want on onward ticket within 30 days. You can book a throwaway ticket OR Use "onwardticket.com " OR obtain a tourist e-Visa (available Mach 19 onwards. Tourist visa good option. Avoids obtraining any extension
  2. Most likely not. Some folk buy cheap throw away or use "onwardticket.com " For this reason some prefer to obtain the Non O prior to entering Thailand. So clearly your return date is past your current extension expiry.
  3. Understand, however if your return date is prior to expiry of your current extension you wouldn't need obtain a non O . Be aware that you could return visa exempt and obtain your Non O at your immigration office.
  4. I find that very surprising. When two entries per calendar year is discussed its always clearly includes reference to two Visa Exempt entries via land. Anyway if the tourist visa from Savannahket was a year ago, you should not have an issue. How long since that tourist visa have you spent in Thailand till now. Didn't consider Vientiane for tourist visa? It does require an appointment there.
  5. OP, I'm missing something. Why return to Belgium just to renew a passport. I just obtained my new Australian pp. The whole process done by mail. From posting the application to receiving new passport took 20 days. Even if you just happened to be going to Belgium and you obtained a new pp why would you need a non O retirement. Get a reentry permit in old pp when leaving then for return travel with both passports.
  6. Again @Upnotover has provided OP simple correct advice. OP, you can obtain reentry permit at same time as extension or at airport on day of departure. The reentry permit will have expiry same date as expiry of your extension..
  7. Good post/advice. Just pointing out that he doesn't need to be apologetic. If indeed he has a tourist visa then he is eligible for 30 day extension. I posted earlier what he needs for that. If for example he has a non O and cannot meet extension requirements, he can apply for extension and the application will be rejected and he will be given directive to exit Thailand within 7 days. That will avoid overstay.
  8. Not many folk staple TM47 into their pp. The que ticket you receive (far right officer) has a time written on it. Just past the que ticket counter are dedicated desks for appointments. Sometimes one or two desks. You are seen quickly. Without appointment you join the hoards past those desks. Tip for others: there is no appointment for certificate of residence (COR) Needed for TDL etc. When you need a COR wait till your Window for 90 day report and book appointment for TM47. The lovely io will also make photocopy of the tm47 and process COR.
  9. Airline and immigration do not retain the printout. They carefully check details against passport and hand it back
  10. So when there are posts asking about process from visa exempt entry to non O we reply with "ask your immigration office" when in fact JOMTIEN that requires funds in bank for 2 months. That is an action of a ROGUE office.
  11. That's a very good point. If OP is eligible for 30 day extension to SETV or visa exempt entry he can obtain an extension. OP be aware that if you entered with eg a tourist visa you obtain your extension at CW. If entered visa exempt you would apply at IT mall LakSi. You will need tm7 with photo TM30 and photocopies of basic pages of pp. Photo page, last entry stamp etc. 1900b. Allow the day without appointment. The print stalls at immigration will know what you need.
  12. Indeed. You could even initially do first entry (airport) visa exempt followed by another prior to using land border entries. Nonsensical thread with options well known. Topic closed.
  13. Perhaps should have been posted in Pattaya forum as is not MO for other immigration offices
  14. Who cares about your office Jomtien. There are approx 75 immigration offices. Some are rogue. Think CM another Here is part of 2.2 Changed in June 2020. "The alien as defined in paragraph one shall include those who being granted multiple-visa who leaves and returns to the Kingdom with specified time in the visa, and those with re-entry permit."
  15. Again more misinformation. The OP does not requure a new TM30. For those that do eg extension to tourist visa or visa exempt the usual fine would be 800b
  16. Wrong. Perhaps at few immigration offices that are not adhering to current law re TM30
  17. That's irrelevant as it's 2 visa exempt entries per calendar year. End of.
  18. Strange as AU along with others were taking up to 6 weeks . I just renewed my AU PP. 3 weeks. Don't be shy. Which country. Never heard of same day pp renewal.
  19. Some others have said pay overstay at airport. Many would be surprised how common short overstays are. One/two days as is case with OP.
  20. No. Which immigration office
  21. 90 report at CW is busy. Be aware that a bullet proof option is to do TM47 via mail. However that should be done 15 days prior to due date. Don't know what part of appointment was difficult
  22. Above was referring to @Upnotover post which is correct. Yes they hand the print out back. Just a tip for others. When you have the email approval check it like a hawk for slightest error because airline and Immigration do.
  23. You can apply for extension at immigration which will be rejected and be given 7 days to get out of dodge. Personally, I would just go to airport and pay the 2 day overstay. 1000b. Some folk will disagree with that option.
