  1. As a tourist entering visa exempt or with tourist visa you would do nothing with exception of need to deal with immigration office. Typically this would be to apply for 30 day extension. If you plan to have interaction with immigration you would need to provide screenshot of hotel filing TM30 report.
  2. OP, here is thread covers what you are asking. https://aseannow.com/topic/1272122-2022-updated-requirements-and-or-process-for-extension-based-on-marriage/ Also check this link provided by uj. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=843557&key=2caaa6b16bae18dd24e0a61253734932
  3. How did you reenter Thailand? Reentry permit? Multi entry visa? Which immigration office told you a TM30 was required?
  4. You do not surrender your pp at CW. Your application for extension will have an under consideration period. You need to be in Thailand to receive final stamp.
  5. You are referring to Sakhon Nakhon. And have posted that in various threads. That immigration office is wrong and no doubt there are others also NOT following new rules as of June 2020. If you exit Thailand and return with a reentry permit or eg multi entry visa to your place of residence you and/or property owner do NOT need to file a TM30. I won't post 2.2 of the new rules as that has been done many times. BTW fact that someone might return and spend night or whatever in random hotel is irrelevant.
  6. How did you reenter Thailand. Reentry permit? Which immigration office insisted on TM30.
  7. No limit but in reality continuous back to back tourist visas with minimal time spent out of Thailand will not work.
  8. Extensions are pretty much automatic regardless where you apply. You need a TM30 that enables you to apply at a particular immigration office. Few basic photocopies of pp. That's it. History in Thailand should not come into it.
  9. That's only mentioned as it refers back to 2019 when BKK and DMK airports went crazy and refused entry to some folk. CNX at that time did not. I notice in your post to someone else just now that you have actually been out of Thailand on and off. Think you just give it a go and fly Da Nang to one of the Bangkok airports. You WILL need onward flight for airline at departure.
  10. You are stamped in for 60 days . Every entry can be extended by 30 days. By exit and reenter just prior to METV expiry you can obtain 9 months out of the visa. Border bounces do not count on your 2 visa exempt entries per calendar year. Prior to eVisa the METV needs to be applied for in home country. There have been few posts asking if the METV can be applied for eVisa while in neighbouring countries such as Vietnam. I would not recommend that.
  11. Ah!! So a total of 18 days out of Thailand after extensive stay. Your plan seems to be fly from Saigon to Bangkok visa exempt. Good luck. Not saying that you would be refused entry but my my you are pushing it. You won't be able to obtain tourist visa at Thai consulate Saigon as they now require appointment and booked out ahead several weeks. You could fly Saigon to CNX to hedge your bets. Have not read a report of refused entry in this post covid period. You will need onward flight when flying from Saigon to Thailand for airline.
  12. BTW in another current thread there are now reports of immigration (at CW) are wanting copy of updated bankbook when transferring the stamps for folk on extensions based on retirement.
  13. Yes you make appointment with Oz embassy for passport renewal. The guidelines are pretty clear on website. When I last renewed my pp they provided the "letter". At some point they stopped doing that. My understanding is they placed stamp in pp to authorize Thai immigration to transfer stamps and visa information.
  14. That should work. You do realize you can obtain extension much earlier than last couple of days. Make sure hotel can provide you with screenshot of filing TM30 prior to payment for room.
  15. Obtain a METV. When you return to Thailand for next visit how long since last exit ?
  16. Yes 2 months prior to application for the extension. Also recommended to keep funds in bank during the under consideration period so about 3 months all up.
  17. From the OP first post...... '"Could I get a temporary (tourism or other) extension (at Jomtien) after my marriage extension expires, then meanwhile put the money in my bank for 2 months before applying for the 1 year extension again?".... Seems he implying possiblity of obtaining funds if can buy some time. Hence my suggestion of exit. Still not clear if he used his 60 day extension to visit wife on this latest entry. So that's also an option.
  18. You do not have a reentry permit so you can exit anytime you want prior to expiry of your permit. Keep in mind the 45 days is (at this stage) available till March 31. To apply for the non O marriage you need 400k on the day you apply and must apply with minimum 15 days remaining on your permission of stay. If more time is required to come up with the 400k you can apply for additional 60 day extension to visit wife.
  19. Keep in mind that for the non O marriage the 400k needs to be in the bank on the day you apply and for extension needs to have been in the bank for 2 months. After the under consideration period you can use the funds as you see fit.
  20. Messy and lot more expensive than retirement. Some agents don't even touch non O marriage and subsequent extension.
  21. If you have intention to work then best to stick with extention based on marriage. You need to work out if you have applied for 60 day extension to visit wife. The paperwork is very different to covid extensions. Plan B could include exit Thailand (border run) reenter visa exempt and place 400k in bank at some stage to obtain new non O. That gives you 90 day stamp. Also being a new entry you can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. All to buy time to organize the 400k.
  22. Up till day of expiry of current permit. Yes. Remember you require 15 days left on permit to apply for the non O
  23. With 2 two months out of Thailand fly back to Bangkok visa exempt or obtain tourist visa. Both will work.
  24. You have a multi entry visa or border run for new visa exempt entry? If the latter then new TM30 required.
  25. Say what. At the very least it will be trip to CW or perhaps sent back to airport immigration (doubt it) Either way set aside a day to save her face. Agree correcting someone should always be done with politeness and manners. This was a blatant mistake.
