Not many folk apply for 12 month extension with day remaining on their permission of stay. At most immigration offices you can apply 30 days early and some such as CW,CM etc 45 days early. Regarding the 800k in the bank account it is required to be in the account minimum 2 months prior to application date. Not prior to permit expiry.

You live in Pattaya. Good agents are everywhere. Try Maneerat Soi post office or someone similar. Also 90 day report is very easy now with the new online system. No difficult to do yourself.

Seems strange. You would also need to check with Samui immigration that they issue non O retirement from visa exempt or tourist visa entry. I vaguely recall that immigration office not being cooperative with that. Hopefully someone can advise.

He will need to use money in the bank method for his extension. He can obtain the non O retirement in Thailand. He can enter visa exempt. He can obtain extension to visa exempt if required. He does not need a tourist visa. What he does need is a Thai bank account in his name only. An agent can do that which he should have organized last visit. After placing 800k in the Thai bank Account he can o rain a non O and subsequent extension..

As @Peterw42 points out it depends on the transport office. When I did my TDL in Bangkok I had exactly same question especially as at that time there was long wait. I dealt with BSR ...here is snippet It varies. Don't know Korat think Bangkok 30 days.

With a 4 day overstay they almost certainly fine you 4x500= 2000 baht and process your extension. Hopefully @ubonjoe can confirm

Don't know what "your other books" means. I also do extensions retirement money in bank method and have been asked to show activity on the day. First time it happened I actually had to go from io desk down to bank and make a deposit. Others have posted doing updates of bank book (at CW) as it was asked for.

Exactly. The post I questioned earlier re 'agent can bypass all' is not correct. When you actually go to agent site you still need to go to transport office do the test etc. I missed the forum heading "Pattaya" as entered thread from topics bottom of visa forum. In any event perhaps the availability of testing is not an issue in Pattaya but it can be in Bangkok and then an agent can be very useful. I assume it works the same in Pattaya in that after contacting agent they allocate you a "slot" certain date and away you go.

I don't understand this thread Maybe agents can bypass things in places such as Pattaya however I did not find that an option in Bangkok. Approached Fatboy's and few other agents re Residence certificate. Not possible I was informed. Eventually during covid I actually was finally able to do a 90 day report and obtain residence certificate. However the offices were seeing very limited numbers for TDL . OP, I used BSR bikes for car and bike licences. Run by a USA guy (Mark) and communication was good. Pretty much all they did was meet at the transport office with a guaranteed que number (#1) on certain day and checked paperwork etc. 1800baht. The lass ran inside and made couple of extra photocopies that I overlooked. 1800baht. That was both licences. Can't recall if that included cost of licence fees. When agents are mentioned for anything I never understand why folk don't mention their name and price guide.

Bit off topic but read so many posts requesting advice for tv eVisa for Thailand. By way of contrast being Oz I just in last few days did eVisa for 30 day single entry TV to Vietnam.. Was bit worried as I'm not the most savy IT chap. Basic info along with upload of info page passport and a self photo of a pp style photo . That was it. No copy of flights etc. Nothing. Approval in 3 working days and just now completed flight booking with confidence. WHY is eVisa for a simple TV to Thailand so difficult.

I don't understand many of your questions. You need to research insurance options that cover your needs. For tourists that in the main is travel insurance. For expats seems that most opt for insurance from international companies. Not really a topic specific to this forum. Check out "Health Medicine" forum.

It's simple and bullet proof The thing with CW is that you need to do it 15 days prior to due date. Doesn't have window (at CW) for in person and online option. As for how via mail ...there are some basic photocopies of passport pages. The form for report. Your receipt of previous report etc. You include a self addressed envelope and you post everything EMS. The good thing is if you use 2 B4 envelopes immigration will return all your photocopies and you can use again for next report. The new online system works a treat and is best option. That's why most folk ditch their non O-A and start over with a non O. Also it's no longer 40/400k. You are in for a shock with new requirements.

I'm in same boat. Last extension at CW (Nov last year) I was told that I need bank statements due to no activity in several months. I use a dedicated bank account and just leave 800k + . Has been OK all years previously. Just when you think that you have the ****** worked out they pull a new stunt. I can understand consolidated transactions but no activity that's just rubbish.

Bank account is not required for 90 day reporting. Currently you are not compliant with the financials for your extension based on retirement. Marriage has nothing to do with current situation. When you go for your next extension be that marriage or retirement they will still check back over previous 12 months. I was going to suggest that you obtain a ME Non O one year visa from Savannakhet but you seem to have run out of time to organize marriage docs. Hopefully one of the married guys can offer some ideas. Seriously ! Your extension expires in 15 days. Just didn't see it coming? Go see an agent. They can cover the financials. Since your current permission of stay is out of order the agent may suggest you exit and reenter Thailand on a visa exempt (land border) and start over.
