  1. Well then pretty much your only option is tourist visas..
  2. You have two choices. Non O with extensions based on retirement or if married based on marriage. (if married to a Thai) Some married guys choose based on retirement due to much less paperwork and no under consideration period. Some choose based on marriage because the financial requirements are much easier than for retirement.
  3. Being issued at land crossings. Not issued at airports. You will not need TM6 for extension
  4. Yes Is her other pp valid? She can exit on that pp and enter Thailand on her expired thai pp.
  5. Yes was typo I fixed up prior to your post.
  6. No . And not even if you exit Thailand and reenter. Which immigration office. CM is one office incorrectly requiring TM30 for inter province travel. Ridiculous really.
  7. BTW ...the 400k only needs to be in the bank on day of application for non O. There is one rogue office (Jomtien) insisting on two months.
  8. That is rare. Most immigration offices would reject a double sided form printed as two pages. I suggest folk ignore this advice from post I quoted
  9. Yes. You actually have to apply at your local immigration office. You need 15+ days remaining on your permission of stay. Longer at some offices such as CM
  10. I use my passport to travel extensively in Thailand and exit and reenter Thailand. Have never ever done a TM30 living same address for 10 years. Only few crackpot immigration offices such as CM have not read change of rules 2020. Not everyone has a Pink card or TDL.
  11. They are wrong or you did not understand what they were saying
  12. Perhaps there is particular time of the year that you would likely to be in Thailand eg Xmas.. Keep in mind that extension renewal has a 30 day window and 45 at some offices. Unlike extensions marriage there is no under consideration period.
  13. Some clear information from ubonjoe in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1126146-piggy-back-visa-for-mom/
  14. If it was your first extension how did you provide tm47
  15. Perhaps choice of border crossing perhaps not using an agent. However certainly not his visa history. Having been on continuous extensions from a non O-A is very different that back to back tourist visas and visa exempt entries and even non ED. People in their droves have been exiting Thailand and return visa exempt to kill off their non O-A. Including border crossings.
  16. OP, here is a thread. Take note of first reply from ubonjoe.....
  17. The chap I quoted was stating that METV was designed for people using Thailand as a base and traveling around Asian countries. That's nonsense. Some use it to max out time spent in Thailand. No rule preventing that. By way of example the 60 day stamp per entry can be extended by 30 days. 1900b
  18. 30 days has nothing to do with it. If you return to Thailand with reentry permit you do not need to file a TM30. You can stay out of Thailand as long as you like. Just as long as you return within your extension and reentry permit expiry.
  19. Don't really follow your post. The issue for me was that my bank bank had zero transactions for various months. Hence they wanted bank statements. With me pointing out that this had never been an issue previously and that I keep 800+ all year round in a dedicated bank account. I had to "debate" with senior io. As for the TM47... because I was sent back to document check the person doing that requested TM47. "Where TM47" Experiences vary as is always the case.
  20. A non O marriage is a visa. It provided a 90 day permission of stay and you then subsequent ongoing extensions. A ME Non O marriage is a visa valid for 12 months. Two different animals.
