  1. Your two cents is correct.
  2. Should be fine BTW it's not visa on arrival it's visa exempt entry. Where are you currently.
  3. OP, this is where you are confused. It's seems you have a METV. There is no "triple entry" about it. To maximize the stay in Thailand with this visa you would exit and reenter just prior to expiry. That would stamp you in for another 60 days. To exit Thailand after that you would need a reentry permit. In your case that would be done prior to May 12. In all that visa can provide almost 9 month stay.
  4. You would not be on overstay.
  5. I'm banking on no such rule. So a guy been in Thailand for 5+ years on extensions based on marriage gets divorced and needs to exit Thailand. Needs to do that by AIR and cannot exit via land! Say what.
  6. OP, you had visa valid till may 12. You tried to enter post that date. Not possible. However don't understand why you were not allowed entry with visa exempt 30 day stamp. However anything possible at Poipet. BTW think you should remove or edit your copy of eVisa. Or blank out personal information. Mod can remove if your edit period closed.
  7. Did not suggest that he try again Was looking for reason why he had issue at that land border. May assist others.
  8. 1. By land you will be permitted entry unless you have already made 2 visa exempt entries via land. 2. If denied entry at arrival at Thai airport you would be flown back to where you departed from. Most commonly at your expense. What is your history in Thailand. What is your current status? New passport does not help.

  11. There would be no such rule. All I can think of is the chaps pp did not have 6 months validity.
  12. No. In fact in most circumstances you cannot cancel your extension in Thailand. You need to exit without a reentry permit
  13. @RaveBlond Here is a tip. You can make an appointment at CW for TM47 . There are no appointments for certificate of residence. Now here is the tip... The io will process your application for certificate of residence at the same time. She will do the TM47 hand you the print out and also photocopy it to complete the certificate of residence application . That is posted out. Takes up to two weeks and fee 200b . I did exactly that yesterday. Regarding your other questions think a good idea to chat with agent for advice. You don't need to use them I recommend BSR bikes. You can use messenger or call. USA owner. Fatboy's is also good agent. Note agents cannot assist with certificate of residence.
  14. Window opens at 75 day mark. Your first report must be done via mail or in person.
  15. You must have done a 90 day report to obtain a certificate of residence from Bangkok immigration. A very messy solution is to do a TM30 to an address in another province and obtain certificate of residence there. I also could not obtain a letter from Oz embassy as alternative.
  16. The guy did not name the agent in that thread. Here is a short thread that may be helpful. Ubonjoe in the second post included a link to visa run company Also link to another thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1272034-visa-run-from-pattaya/ This thread also has links to companies https://aseannow.com/topic/1283219-first-border-run-from-pattaya-to-cambodia/
  17. For m me personally it's bit weird. When folk ask visa questions I sometimes look for threads that can help.. When I stumble on one that has ubonjoe advice ...it's a no brainer . UJ Has left us a legacy.
  18. I did qualify with saying I'm probably not even close. Hopefully some guys that have similar plan can advise. More likely in finance forum in my thinking.
  19. Finance banking forum might have better advice. Just a wild guess sounds like USA citizen trying to avoid tax. Most likely not even close, but I like mystery posts.
  20. All visas have a validity period. For non O it's a single entry provides 90 day stamp. It is "USED" upon entry. A non O-A visa is valid for 12 months.
  21. The OP seems to have been on extension of stay from a non O-A. That extension and non O-A cannot be "cancelled" in Thailand. Sure it can become invalid if requirements not met. Anyway bit of a smoke screen. The OP clearly wanted to kill off his non O-A. That is very common due to insurance requirements. He needs to exit Thailand. End of.
  22. He did not mention having a reentry permit. You do not cancel extensions. The OP was trying to kill off his non O-A. That had already expired however to change the visa to a non O he needed to exit Thailand without a reentry permit.
  23. It can be obtained in UK and also in Savannakhet. That visa has 12 month validity and provides a 90 day stamp each entry. Effectively providing 15 month stay. Cost is 5000b Read this thread. Very recent report. https://aseannow.com/topic/1294207-non-o-visa-retirementsavann/
  24. @BritTim recently did a breakdown of options. Personally I would check the appointment availability for Vientiane. Depends where you are located. Anywhere near Bangkok provides option to fly to Nong Khai for Vientiane consulate For me Saigon has the addition of a mini holiday option. Both those I mention require appointment. This thread has some info and also link posted by @OJASthat lists requirements.. You won't have any issues. https://aseannow.com/topic/1260547-non-o-visa-retired-in-savannakhet/
