  1. The "even longer" is referring to other side salads such as visa exempt entries via land borders along with 30 day extensions.
  2. Think you posted that you will be returning to UK. The METV is applied for in country of nationality or where you have permanent residence status. Since eVisa in UK there are threads discussing ways to sidestep that requirement. Suggest ignore that and obtain your METV while in UK
  3. That's a valid point. Has happened to me one time in Thailand. Clearly the owner (in my case) was just testing the market. Happens. Unrelated but when I realized that I was going to live in Thailand and transporting a Harley was just impossible....I advertised it for sale for a great price (for buyer) Point is I very clearly stated Price was zero negotiable. My guess is in your deal owner has no desire to sell
  4. I'm not. He owns the land and set a price. Yes normally price would be slightly inflated to allow for some haggle but that's not always the case.
  5. For a long stay you could consider a METV. That visa would enable you to stay in Thailand for 9 months and even longer
  6. Thanks. Thought as much. Hope they don't give me ticket for "L desks"
  7. Your post is confusing. Called you to what counter. How would a standby passenger be airside. The thread is about having a fully paid for fight to Thailand and since flying without a visa and planning to enter Thailand visa exempt. The airline requests onward flight to issue boarding pass. That would be 2 hours + prior to flight. Plenty of time to book an onward flight. Takes one minute.
  8. No problem. Covered in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1282233-changing-visa-extension-based-on-retirement-to-marriage/
  9. You stated ..... 'If I fly out and return the same day will I get hassle for my 3rd 30 day waiver."... That would be a bad plan. There are good options to take a mini holiday. Saigon is ripper joint. Very easy commute from airport to District 1 night life area. UK pp holders can enter visa exempt. If you want quick reentry into Thailand you can do border bounce for visa exempt entry via land. You can do two of those per calendar year.
  10. Hopefully can ask question here. Just made appointment at CW for 90 day report. On the options for bookings I cannot find "certificate of residence" ........guess that's just a walk up service?
  11. You can do walk in. However that's crazy as the appointment system works a treat.
  12. Yes agents do exactly as you outlined. Referred to as handholding. In addition most agents also offer service to cover financial requirements for some visa and extensions such as money in the bank for non O retirement and subsequent extension.
  13. My mistake. I checked May 17 but foolishly wrong year. Immigration closed.
  14. What's the point? I stated that often an onward flight is not required by particular airline and often an onward flight is required. More often than not it concerns particular routes and low cost vs other carriers.
  15. Wasn't being smart when asked re your circumstances. Fact is you were had visa exempt entry and the hospital provided support and you were given standard 30 day extension. Short overstay not subject to a fine. That is quite different to folk requiring ongoing treatment. Personally don't imagine the OP will have much joy.
  16. What do you mean "visa was sorted out. I got 30 days. What was your status in Thailand when you had surgery? Meaning did you have tourist visa or visa exempt etc
  17. Did you even read the link. I did. It just outlines the requirements. As I stated previously agents can assist with organization of documents etc. That's about it. BTW KeyVisa perhaps problematic since Darren past.
  18. You mentioned 14,500b for retirement. That sounds like Pattaya. We all list agents. There are threads specifically asking for agent recommendations. I often throw up name of Maneerat in Pattaya and ThaiVisaCentre in Bangkok often. Anyway all this is off topic from OP. Nothing James bond about agents.
  19. Pretty much the only thing that an agent could assist with the financial requirements. For anyone 50+ the agent would insist upon extension based on retirement being better option. Most would flat out not assist with extensions marriage unless it was purely to assist with the paperwork.
  20. I certainly cannot name one. I don't know any agents that do extensions based on marriage. Sure there are ones that do hand holding exercise but that's about it.
  21. Hope she has a work permit for begging
  22. This expert can advise @Sheryl
  23. Have no idea what's she is on about. Just add this suggestion to your options. Fly out with your US pp and enter Vietnam with UK pp. Think that's possible. Others will confirm. UK pp visa exempt entry to Vietnam. Saigon ripper joint for mini holiday. Return to Thailand visa exempt (it's not VOA) That stamps you in for 30 days. Over 50? Obtain a non O based on retirement. You have a Thai bank account so have 800k in your account on day you apply for non O
  24. More nonsense. The question relates to best visa option at the age of 25. PE visa does not allow work permit. Online work.... yes a possibility.
