  1. You are not converting anything. You are applying for a 12 month extension of your permission of stay. You can do that 30 days prior to expiry of your permit. The 800k will need to have been in your Thai bank account for 2 months + on day of application
  2. Been done to death. The "rent a ticket" works. Just purchase one if you wish.
  3. Why the fixation with having previously had a covid extension. Could exit and reenter at land border not a problem.
  4. I use appointment system. Hardly think attending the bank that is located in same building a waste of time. But follow your plan. Obtain letter prior. Go ridiculously early to secure a spot and que for ticket number.
  5. Not in my experience. I sit with clerk and pass over bankbook and 200baht. 100 baht for deposit and 100baht for bank letter and kindly ask her to photocopy last page of bank book . Mind you she already knows that. Takes about 30 mins all up.
  6. You can check with Cathay Pacific. Putting that aside an airline can ask for onward flight WITHIN 30 days if flying to Thailand visa exempt. (yes visa exempt becomes 45 days from Oct 1)
  7. Nothing to do with TM30 or hotels It's all there in pp.. Entry and exit stamps. Shows how much time you have spent in Thailand and time between those visits. Back to back (meaning short time out) using visa exempt entries via air is not a sustainable plan. As usual can depend on the io and what they had for breakfast.
  8. Allowed two visa exempt entries via land per calendar year. So 45+30(extension) wash and repeat.
  9. If you want to stay longer, do a border run. Exit and reenter visa exempt 45 days + 30 day extension if you wish
  10. I made an appointment couple of days ago for mid October. All time slots were available. Try it again.
  11. That's excellent info for folk dealing with Phuket. It's not possible in some places such as Bangkok. Edit: sorry just realized I stumbled into forum dedicated to Phuket. Will leave post as it's certainly not so straight forward elsewhere
  12. How did you obtain residence certificate. Just rock up to immigration. That's not possible everywhere.
  13. Read my post above. CW like to see "activity" meaning deposit/withdrawal on day of application. Not difficult.
  14. I never understand these posts regarding CW, given most banks have branch there notable exception SCB. I booked my appointment yesterday for extension retirement.....10.30 am. Will arrive approx 9am and attend bank. Make small deposit at same time as obtaining bank letter. Ask clerk to kindly photocopy last page of bankbook to show "activity" and balance match letter.
  15. So in future folk be advised to have your passport stamps and visa information transferred when your extension is due. They can do it at the same time. Travel including international is no issue with both passports.
  16. We had this discussion on your previous extension 12 months ago. I suggest you provided them and the io accepted them. Never been required.
  17. What do you mean by photocopies "statements" I just provide photocopies of bank book pages.
  18. I made an appointment CW yesterday no problem. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131 OP, in regards to TM30 and 90 day report receipt I have never provided either for my extensions based on retirement at CW.
