  1. Firstly you will have no issue in obtaining an extension. Ignore any suggestion that a note was made by io at Phuket airport. Your stamp would have been for 30 days. The onward flight is irrelevant. All your other stuff about entering Thailand visa exempt will continue to be questioned by immigration. You have alternatives. You could consider a multi entry visa based on retirement. Not all countries provide that. UK does and the application is via eVisa That does not require funds in Thai bank.
  2. OP, a non O marriage and subsequent extensions have modest financial requirements. Basically 400k in bank for only two months for extension. Then the money can be used. What is current status in Thailand. Meaning have an extension from a non O? You can change from extension based on retirement to based on marriage. Don't have those funds use an agent as suggested by @scubascuba3 12,500b (Pattaya agent price)
  3. Yes you can do that. With only 2 weeks left on permission of stay that's not enough time (most likely) for agent to obtain the Non O. Be aware that some of popular places for non O require appointment. eg Vientiane and Saigon. Dont think you will obtain appointment within 2 weeks. Savannakhet does not require appointment.
  4. Your LONG post has two main points. You were questioned regarding onward flight by io at Phuket most likely because you have extensive history in Thailand. You will continue to be questioned with future entries. You can obtain 30 day extension no problem. 1900b I quoted the second aspect of your post. So you don't want to use an agent for non O and extensions (BTW what gives with the term Scamming) You don't wish to use their service fine. You also state that cannot meet the financials requirements. What are you asking about.
  5. Nothing changes for your 90 day report due date. That only resets when you exit Thailand and reenter
  6. Did you use an agent? Recent thread of guy in Pattaya using agent for visa run. Seemed good service. He was actually picked up from his hotel.. The agent would be aware of border crossing issues and you can discuss with them.
  7. You would not have any issue in entering Thailand with a visa. Be that a non O or tourist visa. The immigration officer was just doing the usual thing. That aside why are you thinking about getting half pregnant. Either use an agent to obtain the non O in Thailand and subsequent extension or do the process yourself using your own funds. What is current status in Thailand and when does current permission of stay end
  8. Not necessary. However couple of rogue offices insisting on new TM30. CM being main culprit.
  9. Might be as simple as that crossing being difficult. Not so long ago there was a series of posts where chap was refused exit. Think it was that crossing. He had overstay fine to pay and extensive history in Thailand on various visas. I assume you had an extension from non O-A and killing off the O-A to obtain a non O. Think you were in wrong place at wrong time. You would have had no issue at crossings such as Friendship bridge. Take a mini vacation to Saigon. Flights ain't too bad.
  10. Something is wrong here. Did you have overstay fine to pay? Something not right. You mention "visa run" meaning border bounce and reenter straight away visa exempt stamp 30 day stamp. Did you use a visa run company? OP be aware that you have another problem. You mention intention to obtain non O . There is current thread running with crackpot Jomtien immigration requiring 800k to be in the bank for 2 months to apply for non O retirement. Of course the requirement is only needed to be in bank on day of application.
  11. Will add small advice here to folk dealing with CW. So today my plan was to do a 90 day report at CW. This was because my online was rejected due to lack of room #. So I filed another online report and it's still pending for over one week. So yesterday made a 90 day report appointment for today 11am. I also needed a certificate of residence. Here is the TIP......The io that does the 90 day report then she immediately processed my certificate of residence. So in future the advice is if you need a certificate of residence leave it till your 90 report window is open. It's a back door way of having an appointment. BTW appointments at CW run like clockwork.
  12. Have the old one with you. BTW dont forget to at some stage update your Thai bank account details. Things such as TDL not urgent. Note there is no urgency to transfer stamps. Can wait till you have a need to attend immigration.
  13. Visas are not transfered however information about them is transferred to first ages of new pp. Reentry permit etc will be transferred. You will require various photocopies from old pp. That depends on which immigration office. Previously USA embassy provided a letter to authorize transfer. They no longer do that. There is a form to fill in. There is/should be no charge.
  14. For some unknown reason I had similar image. Apart from fact he is USA. Was nice that someone posted his picture. Geez...how much the visa forum is so not the same without him. I have lost confidence. Previously if I posted incorrect advice I knew joe would correct that. Now bit nervous to post info that might be incorrect. Thank Joe for all the help you provided .
  15. No offense but I notice you very little posts. Heads up. ...if you read past threads then just listen to ubonjoe over all other mugs including me.
  16. At start of post I made post that included thread with post from ubonjoe (RIP) Read that tread. Any info in that from uj take to the bank as bullet proof.
  17. True. You have a point.. If the OP remotely thinks he can obtain a work permit while on extension based on retirement then he needs head read.
  18. You can apply for a multi entry non O based on retirement at Savannakhet.
  19. That is obvious. The real question is to change form non O retirement extension to a non B
  20. Can you post a report where that has occured.
  21. Basically no. Read ubonjoe in post in this thread... https://aseannow.com/topic/1227491-change-from-non-o-to-non-b-without-leaving/
  22. I don't agree with that. You are suggesting that someone can apply for eVisa for example UK pp holder applying for METV while sitting in bar in Saigon and fly into Bangkok with that evisa
  23. Your immigration office is out of line. Putting that aside I suggest you obtain the non O marriage at Vientiane. That requires an appointment. Alternatively you can do likewise at Savannakhet. You can then obtain your 12 month extension seamlessly at your immigration office. Your office is being crackpot but not much you can do. Did you ask to speak with senior io? Just to make sure some jr gave incorrect advice.
  24. Find these reoccurring threads re fillable forms and blue v black pens ridiculous. Either download form and spend a minute to fill in form. And yes use Blue pen (just in case) OR next time you visit immigration pick up hand full of each form. TM7, TM8, TM47 etc. Not difficult.
  25. I just checked. Appointment times are available tomorrow (Thurs) Be aware that if you make an appointment you need to print out confirmation email. That comes instantly after making appointment
