  1. Many poor irrelevant replies in this thread. Immigration can check to verify address at their discretion. Obviously this occurs in many offices for extensions based on marriage. Also for "conversion" to non O based on retirement from tourist visa or visa exempt stamp. Vaguely recall of Hua Hin immigration checking on (in particular) USA nationals several years ago Nothing significant about this thread.
  2. I seriously cannot understand your thread. Of course everyone gets friend request on Facebook. Generally from young Thai ladies. And you are surprised and post a "warning" Ridiculous.
  3. I also use a FD. The minimum deposit for my bank Kasikorn it 1000b. I make deposit on day on my extension at CW. Note: there have been many posts that this is not required for FD account for extension at CW.
  4. You have few options. Without outlining all... I think given your father's situation the use of an agent ongoing would be one consideration. He would no longer require funds in Thai bank. If much younger some would suggest that he can piggyback on your non O retirement. That's possible. Off topic: hats off to you taking good care.
  5. It's a well know fact the Extensions are only issued to date of pp expiry. That's obvious. Obtaining a pp renewal does not alter that date. When you transfer any stamps your permission of stay will not change. BTW: Visas are not transfered. The first page of your new pp will note non O visa information. For future extension applications a photocopy of that page will be required.
  6. You did not look at your stamp. The extension stamp is only ever issued to date of pp expiry. Poor planning.
  7. The appointment system runs perfect at CW. When you receive your confirmation email you need make hard copy and take it with you when you attend immigration. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  8. How does that assist the OP. Nonsense. OP... What dealings with immigration office do you require. Annual extension?
  9. Best to obtain a screenshot of the TM30 from owner to have for document check.
  10. You can make appointment at LakSi. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131 Currently next booking slots July 24. You will also require a TM30.
  11. I have zero idea of what your OP is about. Are you referring to issuing a non O VISA or perhaps issuing an annual extension. Are you asking about delays in the under consideration period for extension based on marriage?
  12. Don't understand your OP. When you exit Thailand your 90 Day clock is reset upon reentry date.
  13. That's such a nice reply. I can only understand one language so you way ahead of me. Not clear if you have been to Saigon previously. The agents (on every corner) can assist with tourist visa for Thailand. Hope all goes well for you. As pointed out in your thread.. You need appointment. Good luck
  14. Thanks for update. I thought it was Aug 23. In any event good news the 90 multi will be available. I assume it will be available on current e-Visa application.. Being Oz looking forward to that
  15. Lot of folk on a METV and ME non O attend immigration for a 30 day extension. If someone posts that they needed a new TM30 then fine.
  16. This post can be added to your OP and other posts ...,in that have not understood one. Agents in Saigon can guide you through the process.
  17. Happy to stand corrected. The fact is that with a multi reentry permit such as METV or ME Non O based on retirement or marriage etc the visa is valid and new TM30 not required. With a reentry permit you are still given "new permission of stay" stamp. Granted the expiry matches the reentry permit but that's not the point. Your reentry permit simply allows you to obtain new permission of stay stamp. My most recent o/s trips pic attached.
  18. UK , USA and AU citizens can still use the 65k monthly income method. The catch is you need to show 12 month of monthly transfers prior to applying for extension. BTW: you stated the following.... "[the US embassy never provided such a service - at least in my memory]" USA embassy previously did supply "Affidavit "
  19. Might be splitting hairs but when you reenter Thailand with a reentry permit from example an extension, you are also given a new entry stamp (permission of stay date)
  20. You also asked this strange question... "Also, don't I get a visit from the immigration ones in a while and need to be at that address? Please no trolls just real advice." Is that serious. If you live in Thailand ongoing on non O based on marriage you will need to apply every year for a 12 month extension and yes that often requires a home visit. Also neighbors to verify. Seriously have you lived in Thailand previously. My guess ..Not
  21. Such a naive post you will receive much criticism. For starters to live ongoing in Thailand even married to Thai national you will require annual extensions. That also has financial requirements. Also in many immigration offices home visit at time of extension. Just imo you are not suited to village life given such ridiculous comparison to India.
  22. It's an option however for Cambodia he would require a visa as would Laos and Vietnam. Not a big deal however given he needs only 7 days, a rejected application for extension at immigration office would be most simple option.
