If you are obtaining 30 day extension in Bangkok you would attend IT mall Laksi and not CW. Regards the TM30 you don't need to "renew it" just provide previous one unless you have changed address. The TM7 form requires a photo. 1900b . The io will transfer your visa exempt exempt entry stamp. May require some basic photocopies of your old pp.

I previously started a thread regarding this So here is the issue... Last February I applied for single entry tourist visa (30 days) . The process was very simple. PROBLEM: When I received the eVisa by email it had an enter date and untill date. The thing is it was only 15 day stay. Fast forward to exit trip. I applied for 90 day multi. Was very careful filling in the dates. Again the email showed 15 day stay. I was accordingly stamped in for 15 days. Sitting in Saigon airport to fly to Oz. Coming back to Saigon in 18 days. Need to get another visa. Anyone obtained a visa to Vietnam recently?

As the OP has added information and seems that will be staying in Jomtien and he previously indicated he only requires 60 day stays then SETV would seem to be obvious choice.. His friend would not need to do a TM30 as he would not be having and dealings with immigration for eg extension.

With a ME Non O you could try bank without a certificate of residence. Suggest Kasikorn as they seem bit more fixable than Bangkok Bank. Note both those banks partner with WISE for international transfers. For certificate of residence immigration offices vary. A TM30 may be sufficient and a lease would be a bonus.
