  1. Where are you planning to live. Do you have Thai bank account. Is the plan for agent to cover all aspects of the non O and extension. Meaning not your 800k in the bank. As for SIM any shopping mall can provide with various plans or PAYG. Many threads discussing phone plans.
  2. Some random points my experience CW. Be aware that you can make an appointment and that works a treat. My experience: TM30 and 90 report should not be required. When I last did my annual extension the io wanted to do the 90 report (was being helpful) I declined the offer. In your case with new pp it would be good to do the 90 report. Take along receipt of last report. Are you using money in the bank method? I was only required to provide photocopies of bank pages and cover page. I use a dedicated account so transactions are not consolidated. If they are or your using income method you require bank statements.. Obviously they will only show up to date prior to application. Obtain bank letter and small deposit. I had a lease with me. Standard pages of passport photocopies. ID page, TM6 both sides, most recent entry stamp. Visa if any, etc. Any annual extension stamps. Since you renewed your pp also photocopy the first page in new pp where they transfer your visa details from old pp. They will also require photocopies of some pages of old pp, however that's related to the transfer of stamps etc from old to new pp. Make sure that your details with your bank are updated. Meaning your new pp #. Map of where you live. I do not use hand drawn one..
  3. Non O can be obtained outside of Thailand and also inside Thailand from a visa exempt or TV entry. Non O-A obtained in own country or country where you have permanent residence status. The Multiple entry one year visa that the OP is referring to is a visa that allows a maximum stay of 90 days (that can be extended by 60 days to visit wife) Different animal to a non O marriage.
  4. Of course applications can be rejected. Mine was....here is cut and paste from Thai embassy Canberra (Oz) "Must be certified by a Justice of the Peace ". So I used a JP to certify. Turns out that the clerk dealing with application didn't like the use of JP and insisted they be Notorized by lawyer. To be fair I note that my application fee was returned.
  5. Haven't seen any reports of visas issued with the Red Void stamp. Pre covid occured at Phnom Penh Thai consulate. I have not read a similar report recently.
  6. I would suggest you obtain a METV. The land borders will open prior to your need to exit and reenter. That in itself would give you 9 months and with couple of border bounce and visa exempt entries + 30 day extensions would have you covered for year +
  7. I agree with your take on it. Also cut paste from friend re that particular "visa". He obtained one year plus ago. OP, clearly your under 50. You could look into visa based on study language.. an experienced singapore lawyer in bkk told me to continue applying for covid extensions at least 10 days prior to end, and when they wont do that come to bkk and he will do a medical extension or similar to get me thru to dec. he explained the volunteer visa was a scam roght from the top as it doesnt even derive from immigration or the department of business as the work visa does.
  8. Yes visa exempt entry 30 days. You won't have an issue. The airline at departure may/will require onward flight. Either buy cheapest throw away ticket or Google "onward flight" .
  9. Yes. You report if you stay 90 consecutive days. When you reenter your 90 day clock commences.
  10. Currently you would require 30 day cover specifically mentioning 20k cover for covid. Lowered to 10k from May 1, however would be very surprised if the premium was reduced. Currently cost is 650b and even less. Think of it as a entrance tax.
  11. Correct. Currently you would require 30 day covid cover everytime you reenter Thailand.n
  12. You indicate stay of longer than 30 days. (58 days) It's the airline at departure that may require onward flight within the 30 days.
  13. You should choose parent of Thai child. Extension marriage will open can of worms As @brianthainess asked... Clearly you are under 50 as extension based on retirement would be best option.
  14. Ignore that.. They mean you need to return to obtain final stamp. Chill.
  15. "for period of stay" ..was never correct. It just happened to be written in very poorly worded statement. People ran with it as if it was some sort of Law. Subsequently shown to be incorrect.
  16. I don't have advice more just bumping your thread as no replies. IMO starting a business just to facilitate a stay in Thailand is not clever. Your OP shows no interest in any particular business.. Clearly must be under 50 as agent assisted retirement would be best option. PE visa (elite visa) is great option for under 50 not married to Thai national..
  17. You very soon will require a 10k insurance cover. The fact is people will have a significant chance of acquiring Omicron variant. Almost everyone I know including myself and partner have had it here in Thailand. No one has gone to hospital. The insurance for most is irrelevant. Attached is just one example. A USA friend on holiday tested positive. This is couple of months ago. Insurance has not paid. She quarantined in hotel where she was at the time. From May 1 there will be no compulsory testing as per Test and Go for vaccinated folk. The insurance for vast majority is now irrelevant. .
  18. Of course not. It's a requirement for TP. I'm saying that the insurance is a throw away nonsense.
  19. OP, thanks for report. Nice to read easy marriage extension without the "push" to retirement. What was wrong with your pics that the imm officer wasn't happy with?
  20. Do you really think anyone cares about covid insurance and what it covers. I suggest that most regard it as similar to an "arrival tax"
  21. Stated with confidence Sadly incorrect. 30 day cover will be sufficient.
  22. PM sent. You had a good result. That's the important thing. Now just concentrate on your AFL tips.
