He doesn't have a valid Visa he has a permission of stay protected by his reentry permit. Has happened to me personally. I had a multi entry visa to Vietnam with few days validity. Was flying to Saigon for few days and onward home to Bangkok. Jetstar dug heels in at check in Melbourne. Wanted to see my flight out of Vietnam prior to expiry of visa. Showed flight on cell phone. Boarding pass issued.

Think you are jumping the gun however the option to change extension to based on marriage is simple. Especially as you are using income method. Your wife will need to attend.. Immigration may try to talk you out of it. Thread discussing the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1314382-change-from-reirement-to-marriage-visa/

OP, you have a 3 page thread on similar question. Link below. Don't understand why you obtained a reentry permit. The io will most likely stamp you in for the few days remaining on your permit. Don't be surprised if airline at check in asks for onward flight. Even with a reentry permit. Then you plan a border bounce? Did you consider extension from the non O? https://aseannow.com/topic/1324898-i-got-a-non-o-single-visa-but-i-would-like-to-enter-into-visa-exempt-use-the-visa-later/

First up if it ever happens it would be temporary. Ignore clap trap from the media confirming it as a given.. -
Parental visa....need to take a witness?
DrJack54 replied to Kenny202's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Repeat...you now state ... "Was pretty awful but once the first one is done not too bad". Also seems you obtain extensions in Bangkok. CW should not require witness. Other immigration offices in Bangkok may. Your thread assists no one without which office you use. -
BBL bank photo copies of Visa page.
DrJack54 replied to arick's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When you renew passport information the visa (non O) is not transfered. The information pertaining to the visa is noted in new pp. You need to be aware of requirements to renew TDL, such as COR etc -
Parental visa....need to take a witness?

So what are you actually asking about. Your rumor about change to extensions based on retirement is irrelevant along with comment on taxation. -

60 day visa exemption for select countries
DrJack54 replied to wmlc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Seriously. Immigration don't hammer out anything. You are posting nonsense based on various web sites such as news releases and eg Siam Legal. From your OP "I have it on good authority that this will begin on July 15." Now "hammering out details" -

That DTV chit chat is from Siam Legal. Wait till the government starts any discussion rather than sites on the web -
Parental visa....need to take a witness?
DrJack54 replied to Kenny202's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Knowing which immigration office you deal with is hardly your address. Many offices in Thailand have their own guidelines and "way of doing things" Post limited information (especially re immigration office) receive limited answers. -

Visa expiration
DrJack54 replied to charleskerins's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
And I outlined options in first reply. So you stay in Thailand on annual extension and are not aware of overstay penalties. "Delayed my departure" is cute way of saying go into overstay knowingly -
CW accept accounts that do not have a bank book. If you plan to obtain a non O based on marriage from a visa exempt and subsequent extensions you are making simple difficult by using SCB. You do not need to show funds came from abroad for marriage. When are you planning to do this? For extensions marriage the funds only need to be in bank for 2 months plus under consideration period. After that they can be used. Surely the interest earned cannot be reason for SCB account over convenience I use Kasikorn at CW (retirement) and do the bank letter, small deposit on day of application and 12 month bank statement day prior (can be up to 7 days prior) Banks at CW open at 8.30am

What! When did you ever read of immigration doing what you outlined. Your post has zero credibility
