  1. As has been stated MANY times in various threads.... always check with owner that a TM30 will be provided prior to renting. Note: this is from your post early this year in relation to TM30. "Get copies of everything before you sign a lease. If it's not provided, go elsewhere."
  2. The rules pertaining to TM30 requirements changed in 2020. If you change your address (as per your friend) you are required to file a TM30.
  3. And many have. Myself few weeks ago at Saigon to DMK flight. Often required if flying visa exempt.
  4. You seem to be referring to "home visit" and in some cases requirement for witness. If over 50 you have option of obtaining extension based on retirement. That option has by far more onerous financial requirements.
  5. TM30 only required if the "guest" plans to deal with immigration. The common reason would be to obtain a 30 day extension.
  6. The reason the io "suggested" change to extensions based on retirement is that it's far less work for the immigration officer. This is common knowledge..
  7. You will be fine in the dress code you outlined. Some places little more formal.
  8. Nonsense reply. Pretty much every farang in Thailand married or partner supports wife/partner ongoing
  9. Surely that's a wind up. Married guys can obtain annual extensions with just 400k in bank for 2 months and then use it. They also can obtain extension 60 day to visit wife if they are not using annual extensions. Sweet deal.
  10. Two posts removed re offensive coded language and a comment on moderation
  11. How many folk are reading too much into no limit on land border entries. Visa exempt entries already have no limit via air. That does not guarantee entry.. Think some chill pills in order. Edit: @tarheeldan like your thinking.
  12. Indeed and even when an IO is incorrect, I would not complain and just accept their requirements. I don't have set of immigration stamps in my top draw.
  13. OP, there are current threads on DTV. Read up and ask questions there. Thread closed
  14. They may accept the flight ticket outside the 60 days with explanation you plan to obtain 30 day extension. It's been reported several times with success. Also sometimes the airline ok if you sign a waiver. You would be aware of rent ticket companies such as "onwardticket.com"..$15usd. There is also option to travel with no onward flight/return flight and if airline insists on flight you can step away from check in and do rent a ticket or buy throw away cheapest flight. Since your return ticket is also Emirates thinking your plan is fine. Edit: afterthought...if you wish/able to stay in Thailand longer don't be hamstrung buy the 60 +30 extension. As a border bounce now provides 60 day visa exempt entry. Easy to skip the return ticket and have trouble free stay 120-150.
  15. She is not applying for extension nor dealing with immigration office. Do nothing Aside: She can obtain eVisa for Vietnam. Very easy. Make sure she uses correct portal. Process time is 5 business days https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt
  16. Your IO is wrong. If you enter on a new visa or visa exempt and plan to have dealings with immigration such as obtain 30 day extension then you need to file a TM30. This is irrespective of staying there previously.
  17. No worries. Just make sure that you have a TM30 to take with you to immigration when you apply for the 60 extension. Note: you won't be able to obtain the 30 day extension after the 60 to visit wife. If all you need is less than 60 then yes apply for that
  18. OK, so you reentered visa exempt. You need to make a TM30. You mention marriage. You can obtain a 30 day extension and you can also (in addition) obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. Prior to attending Jomitien for any extension you would require a TM30. Also be aware that visa exempt entries are now 60 days (currently) and you could think about border bounce from Pattaya. Plenty of threads on that
  19. So you have a multi entry visa? A TM30 should not be required in example you gave. Which immigration office
  20. Application for a non O at immigration office costs 2000. If you are just doing annual extension and multi reentry permit you would pay 1900 + 3800 Single reentry permit 1000.
  21. No. https://aseannow.com/topic/1329704-transferring-stamps-into-new-passport/ Don't forget to update new passport with your Thai bank
  22. 1900b for annual extension 3800b multi reentry permit 2000b for non O application
  23. When I went to que desk (far right) I showed lady my appointment confirmation and my filled in form for 90 day report AND my filled in form for COR. She noted both on my que slip. No issue. Note: I have had to do couple of COR and 90 reports this year. One io is delightful and helpful the other is the opposite.
