  1. Here is recent report Jomitien specific. Very clear and detailed report from the OP. However that poster did not have income letter from Oz embassy so your application using income method slightly different https://aseannow.com/topic/1330770-diy-retiement-extension-jomtien/
  2. Which immigration office. Some offices have specific items eg Hand drawn map etc.
  3. Plenty of good agents in Pattaya. Would would need to check if they offer 90 day reporting service as a stand alone or only for their customers they assist with extensions. DIY is free.
  4. OP, at Phuket immigration office you can obtain your extension up to 45 days prior to expiry of your permission of stay stamp. The 800k will need to have been in your Thai bank for minimum 2 months. Also be aware of the financial requirements for the following months after you obtain the extension. Here is a thread and I posted links to other threads Phuket specific to check what docs you need. https://aseannow.com/topic/1345316-retirement-extension-phuket/
  5. Just to be clear....your plan is to apply for the Non O marriage outside of Thailand. eVisa? Which country will you apply for eVisa? Then come to Thailand and at some point with 400k in Thai bank account obtain 12 month extension.
  6. Have to agree.... I don't like to copy paste too often from AI but .... "As of 2024, there are approximately 3–4 million foreigners living in Thailand, which is about 5–6% of the country's total population. This makes Thailand one of the countries with the largest expat communities in the world" Not a brag (I'm sure many expats transfer more) I transfer 120k baht to live off in Thailand each month. That does not include real estate or car etc. It's significant for some sectors. Right now on island. Only can see farang plus Chinese. Yes most are tourists. Many live in Thailand. Take them away ...then what
  7. Flying from Philippines visa exempt you may need to show onward flight to airline to obtain boarding pass. Which airline? If issue at check in step away and either book throw away ticket or use company such as "onwardticket.com" $16 Did you choose 59 day trip as visa exempt provides 60 day stamp. If longer stay is required you can obtain 30 day extension (1900b)
  8. Now you have me confused. I assumed you were having a stir. Pit Bull ownership is very divisive topic. One thing is for sure. If I was your my neighbor and you purchased a Pit Bull you would in go straight into my looney bin. They are a threatening dog and even when fenced are territorial and in general unsettling. Not for owner or owners children until day they snap. Plenty of Soi dogs in Thailand. Adopt one and will end up lovely companion. Places like Soi Dog Foundation in Phuket just one example. Equivalent exists throughout Thailand.
  9. A question mark. You kidding. Try Google "list of countries that ban pit bull dogs' Even in USA check out how many cannot obtain home insurance if having bit bulls. Check out deaths and maulings from pit bulls. One born every minute (not referring to dog, referring to owners) Enough.
  10. You are one of those. They are legal in USA. No surprise there. Illegal in so many other countries. For a good reason. My guess is troll thread. You want a pit bull then easy to find.
  11. eVisa now. Changed start of 2025. Better option already outlined
  12. Here is one of many threads that outlines process from visa exempt to non O retirement and subsequent 12 month extension.
  13. Thinking best to run your plan past your immigration office. Tell them you plan exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt and then obtain Non O. Will your non O be based on marriage or retirement. If retirement check what they want re financials.
  14. Yes same everywhere. Referred to as "under consideration period". The date they give you to return for final stamp generally accurate however not always. You can check with your immigration office to see if ready.
  15. The officer would have zero interest. I can recall my mother referring to "Change Management" in her company. That was 50+ years ago. Thai do not use this in immigration. Surely they do in manufacturing sector etc. Without it there is never improvement in productivity. Sadly when immigration does try and change we get broken systems eg online TM47 etc
  16. Don't know what I'm missing. Why are you looking to obtain a SETV. You stated......"come back with a tourist visa (visa on arrival is not OK I think)" It's not visa on arrival it's visa exempt entry. Who told you that you must have a tourist visa. You can exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt. Are you looking to obtain a Non O retirement/marriage and subsequent 12 month extension? You can do that from visa exempt entry. Which immigration office?
  17. Read post above this one. What do you currently have. A Non O marriage that gave you a 90 day stamp? As mentioned above, the visa is not renewed. Assuming you have a Non O marriage you need to prepare for obtaining a 12 month extension. (It's not a visa). The extension process has requirements.
  18. Do not understand how your particular situation is helpful. For many folk it's a long journey to immigration. The OP deals with CW. So folk travel abroad often and this in person TM47 is a burden and not previously required. The whole thing is a mess.
  19. Obtaining visa at Laos consulates has ended.. It's all eVisa now and you need to apply while in Laos.. The process time uncertain.
  20. One day when you see a first hand report of refusal of 30 day extension then please post link..
  21. Direct helpful post to OP who is in Mukdahan not Bangkok
  22. You stated the following.... "You may not have seen reports, I however have witnessed at least one person who was not given a 30 day extension, I am not certain that they were given a 7 day extension as I did not eavesdrop on the full conversation, they were denied a 30 day extension." As pointed out by myself and others.. A refused 30 day extension is common place. Generally doesn't get past the document check girls. Most common would be not providing a TM30. That would amount to returning with correct paperwork for the 30 day extension. Your account is joining dots where there are none.
  23. Bottom line is that for a few things such as license renewal, open bank account etc a certificate of residence is required.. End of.
  24. Where did "couple of days in Vientiane to get a visa " come from. What type of visa are you referring to? Non O marriage? All visas obtained in Laos are now eVisa. The timeframe for approval at this point uncertain.
