  1. OP, joined 2 hours ago. Posted one hour ago. Last visited AseanNow one hour ago. Jay Jay market must be open. @RetiredJohn any added information?
  2. If he still has a valid POS and entered on tourist visa or visa exempt he may have time to obtain emergency pp and apply for covid extension. Problem is not sure how immigration treats emergency pp regarding extension. BTW I mentioned the passport and police report.
  3. Indeed. Australia is one country that had very onerous entrance requirements. Just recently announced.... "The federal government is ditching a requirement for overseas travellers to provide a negative COVID-19 test before they fly to Australia". I believe no requirement for test to fly to Cambodia and Vietnam etc. Surely Thailand Pass will get the flick soon.
  4. How did you enter Thailand. Meaning tourist visa or.....etc? When does your current permission of stay end? Did you deal with an agency with an office or just some random guy? If no progress can be made with agent then report your passports lost. Which country are you from? You will need emergency pp. Lot depends on your permission of stay status.
  5. Also source of income was not asked for? For example evidence of pension etc
  6. Indeed. Koh Samet is over run with tourists due to covid extensions. Sunday is Samet busy day. These photos couple hours back.
  7. Read question from uj. You either have a one year extension to a non O or indeed a ME non O. I would guess the former. In which case just buy a reentry permit. Either at immigration or airport.
  8. Read my earlier post regarding Hua Hin and attached message from some USA friends. HH wanted embassy letter. Affidavit not good enough. You also mentioned CW. Seems you were lucky. At one stage a flight ticket out was being demanded. Lets wait and see what rubbish immigration come up with over next couple of months.
  9. Pretty foolish in hindsight as covid Extensions have been extended by Thai government. Clearly your ability to return to Oz was irrelevant.
  10. You don't care as you had options. Namely to obtain a non-O based on retirement from your recent visa exempt entry from Australia. Think that was your original plan. Choose to slag off at folk obtaining covid extensions that in many cases did not have that option. And now boasting that you can avoid the money in bank requirement for a non O retirement. Sad!
  11. What would give him a chance is posting himself instead of a buddy. Nonsense thread imo.
  12. I'm Oz. Your many posts embarrassing. Correct me if I'm wrong. You came recently to Thailand visa exempt. Plan for non O and extension based on retirement. Then obtain covid extension after chucking off that folk can easily exit Thailand. Hypocrite.
  13. I remembered those guys when I was at senior school. They are called School Prefects.
  14. I'm more interested as to what will be the immigration offices and individual officers attitude to this extended covid extension availability. Will the harassment (by some) continue. Using all and means to refuse extension, be that requirement of flight ticket or some other stunt. Is it as simple as trying to force applicants to use an agent. As a result getting snout into the trough. I can't figure out immigrations thinking. Just do your simple job.
  15. Will immigration be working all weekend to come up with a new bag of tricks and unpleasant behavior. They tried the "must have flight out" at CW. They refused the affidavit at HH and demanded letter from you embassy. etc etc. Too much watching Jerry Seinfeld, "no soup for you". Hopefully they realize that the Thai gov has put in place covid extensions. Time to practice their one skill. ....."stamp the damn pp". Do your job.
  16. Oh dear now I'm thinking of Bruce Willis Die Hard. To be fair to the USA, I think that they were the only embassy that provided some sort of letter to their citizens, when Mr Covid started. Even if it was a letter of rejection. Oz embassy did nothing.
  17. In my initial post regarding this letter I stated the following .... "I'm not sure if that will be possible. Perhaps directed at couple of countries." I was referring to the countries involved in war. Cant see a letter being provided to others.
  18. OP, I will be interested in the replies from guys that deal with that office. Understand fully your concerns as you don't have that word "PENSION" in your docs. Some immigration offices want that. As for your lease etc.....you have changed address from Bangkok so you will require a TM30. Clearly it does not suit you to use money in bank method, however that solves all.
  19. First thanks for the link and info. Thinking my point was wondering how that would work in reality. Would someone rocking up to eg Oz embassy any saying ....."I really really need to stay in Thailand. It's a NECESSITY" ....... Don't think I would obtain a letter.
  20. Why?. Read post above from @statman78... Who cares about statement from pension fund. On top of that translated into Thai.
