Seems she flew to KL and back again (same day) to Bangkok. Personally for same day reentry I would have suggested flight return Bangkok to Udon Thani and done a land border exit and reenter at Nong Khai. Stay one night in UT is an option. Or.....a land border bounce using minivan etc. Depends where you are located. Think if she had spent some time in KL the result would have been better.

Expiration of re-entry permit
DrJack54 replied to daejung's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There have been numerous posts about how quick the process takes. Guess you would add 30 mins at the most for the permit. I live central Bangkok and take half a day to just go to CW for permit and return. Unless someone lives near their immigration office.....I think it's a no brainer -
OP, where are you applying for 5 yr licence. You may need to obtain a residence certificate. That will be difficult in Bangkok.

And you seem comfortable with all of those requirements? Amazing. Personally wouldn't even some official enter my home let alone pictures and witnesses (neighbours). -
Photos for marriage visa extension
DrJack54 replied to Katsura's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm constantly amazed that married farang put up with this nonsense. I can understand jumping through these ridiculous hoops if working or under 50. Or cannot afford to maintain money in the bank. If I was married (in over 50) I would do extensions based on retirement As for home visit and enter house. Are you kidding. -
His income amounts to 600k p.a To use combo method he would only need money in bank (200k) for 2 months prior to application and 3 months post application. However he doesn't have embassy letter and they won't accept what's stated above. Most immigration offices will want to see previous 12 months. Be aware that some offices don't even accept combination method.

Outbound flight required?
DrJack54 replied to eboy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The airline most certainly want to see onward flight flying that route. I assume carrier such as AirAsia. It will be required 100% -
All that is incorrect info. You will have no issue at all entering visa exempt. Currently that gives a 45 day stamp. The 45 days is a sweet deal that ends March 31 and reverts back to 30 days. Both tourist visa and visa exempt entry can be extended by 30 days cost 1900baht. You may require an onward flight to show airline at departure. There are options around this silly requirement. Such as rent a flight from eg "onward flight.com". As for certain number of max days in a year or 6 months etc that is incorrect.

Re-ENTRY permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport
DrJack54 replied to zenplay's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not at all. There is often posts in various threads about BKK and DMK. For BKK the permit is obtained PRIOR to immigration. At DMK it's just after immigration. Not difficult. Then along come the posts of using fast track at BKK. Then being ushered back to reentry permit office. Ridiculous. -
Re-entry permit successfully
DrJack54 replied to Jack1988's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So how much time did you lose in your day obtaining reentry permit at immigration. Including all up travel etc. At airport would take 20-30 minutes max
