  1. Currently you are given opportunity to stay in hotel if they accept. Here is message from USA couple. Wife tested positive during her stay. Not on arrival. Not sure what Cambodia does.
  2. Yes you can exit Thailand. Having said that always best to close out stamp when possible. BTW ......good to see that your posts about CE should now not be required as everyone can return to their home country, didn't stop you from obtaining a covid extension.
  3. Think this is the bit that people should be aware of. My understanding is that in your sentence (that I quoted) the word "BASIC" could be in bold capitals. This Omicron bloke likes to share.
  4. The affidavit has nothing to do with covid extensions. It's a piece of paper made up by immigration.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't you recently obtain a covid extension? Apologies if that's incorrect. BTW in my opinion providing covid extensions is not about the ability or otherwise of returning to home country..
  6. When an immigration officer suggests anything relating to covid extensions just disregard it. As for volunteers, lucky to find their way to the immigration office. When folk suggest in forum if CE will continue or not it's just guess work. Everyone has an opinion. I think they will be continued. One more time would see it out. imo.
  7. I agree. IMO the covid extensions will continue after March 25, however that doesn't help everyone. Some now have no options apart from an exit. Bit crazy in my thinking untill some land borders open.
  8. Things must have changed. Previously USA folk could obtain a multiple entry one year tv. Only country that could. They have no visa exempt entry. Seems they can obtain eVisa. Is that single entry 30 day?
  9. It's a no brainer. Saigon consulate is small efficient and helpful. For TV from Saigon consulate you submit AM application and pick up PM next day. Not to mention district 1 , Bui Vien is nice. Phnom Penh not so, imo. I haven't seen the details of what's required to enter Vietnam. I realize there is a link above. Being Oz we need a visa.
  10. Couple of reports of people going to Phnom Penh with success. Someone posted information re Vietnam opening soon/now. For me I would choose Saigon if possible. Small helpful consulate and a great city. Also an option to just bounce for visa exempt return and extend by 30 and hopefully some land borders will be open soon to do the same again..
  11. Yes you could. TM30 only comes into play when you need to attend immigration. For you that will be next extension. Some will post that you should do a TM30 as soon as you change address. Yeah yeah.
  12. Here is a very old thread but has couple of links that looked useful. I only had quick read....
  13. Strange. I wonder if they made a mistake. Any extension should be dated to expiry of pp if expiry is prior to the extension period.
  14. What exactly were the changes. As for........."I would think, the best way forward is to go to your local Imm. office, if you can and ask them for advice on what documents you need" Clearly you must be referring to a small office that is handy.
  15. Try this link for "new 90 report system". You need to register. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login
  16. Someone with recent experience will be along. You mention Agoda. Indeed many people book via their site. Here is a link that may be helpful https://asq.in.th/bangkok-test-and-go-hotels
  17. True. Thinking he meant 65k per month. I believe some folk actually live ok on 65k. With 14k rent doesn't leave a lot.
  18. BTW are you aware of appointments being available at CW for extensions. You can also attend without appointment.
  19. OP, do you have a non O visa in your pp. How did you enter Thailand. With a non O? Not clear if your applying for an extension. If indeed your applying for an 12 month extension to your non O you would require a TM7. What is the expiry of your current permit?
  20. Many (most) people use Wise for transfers. This was about transfers. What Thai banks do is somewhat irrelevant if one of the major transfer companies only deals with couple of banks for 50k +. I must check with OFX also.
  21. Wise recently changed policy. Limit of 50k per transfer to some Thai banks. Recently had to transfer (using Wise) 3 million baht. I had to use my Kasikorn account. Not my preferred option as that's my dedicated account for immigration purposes.
  22. Seems so obvious now you put it in type. Didn't think of that. Could add that if he wished to grab the extra year with the exit reenter prior to the non O-A expiry that would be an option. Yes insurance requirement but good option imo.
  23. You need to do a TM30. I would suggest you wait till your 90 day report window opens and file your TM30 and 90 report same visit in person.
